Story

The Bancroft is a new chef-driven steakhouse and craft cocktail lounge from the Webber Restaurant Group, the family behind the Gibbet Hill Grill and Farm and the Burlington-based Fireside Catering. This restaurant is edgy and urban, an exciting spot to socialize after work and a striking setting for a special night out. The service style is warm and attentive. The environment is dramatic and sexy. We want our guests to have a dining out experience, not just dine out. The Bancroft strives to entertain, to impress, and to be memorable. As a locally owned restaurant group, the Webber family seeks to provide gathering places that are a source of pride for the community, and is invested in making The Bancroft a neighborhood institution in Burlington.

The "Best of Boston" steakhouse, without exception. Absolutely amazing food, incredible steaks, great sides, great beer and wine selection. My wife and my favorite high-end place when we have something to celebrate. Went there last week for a celebration with just the two of us and ordered the Tomahawk Steak for two - it was amazing. Truly, truly a delicious meal, certainly one if the best steaks I've ever eaten, and the sides are fantastic in their own right. We didn't have dessert this time, the Tomahawk Steak is HUGE. We both ate our fill and there was still half left that we took home. Service was impeccable, restaurant was immaculate, and since we had reservations we walked right in. Prices are what you'd expect for this kind of experience - $$$$ - so we generally only go there on special occasions.

The food was delicious with beautiful presentation. The staff were friendly and made sure we had everything without being bothersome. My only negative was the dessert - it was good but not to the standard I had imagined. However, I didn’t go for the dessert. Highly recommend for a delicious dinner.

Stopped by for cocktails and appetizers, sat at the bar. Everyone from hostess to bartender very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were fantastic. (Their bar stools are the most comfortable chairs-didn't want to leave)

Great environment to have dinner in. The decor is very modern industrial. Filled with good knowledgeable staff that is quick to serve you. The menu has unique dishes making it a great place to have dinner or a snack.

The presentation at this restaurant was amazing! I was eating with my girlfriend and her mom, and had no complaints about any of the food we ordered. Service was speedy and mindful - our waiter was top-notch! I ordered the 42 oz. steak, and was well-rewarded with a massive cut of meat served on its own cutting board. They give you the option of cutting it yourself, if you prefer, or having the chef dice up this scrumptious meal for you. I chose the latter to avoid making a mess. This is a must-visit if you like good presentation and good service. Just be aware that this isn't a place you wear a t-shirt into.
