We were seated in the turret bay windows dining table. It was a nice spot for the main street lookout. There was an issue finding parking, plus it's all sand, not great for motorcycles. The service was good, the food was fair. Some dishes better than others.
Fish tacos and soy salmon bowl were both tasty and fresh. Veggies were crisp. Waitress was prompt and great. Excellent view.
We have been to Bancroft many, many times over the years but this is the first time we have been here. I must say I am absolutely thrilled with how amazing it was! Food was fantastic, service was way above & beyond, and prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was great too, not too casual and not too stuffy and formal. Nice patio too. I would HIGHLY recommend this place, and will absolutely be back again!
We were late getting back to town so ordered take out just before they closed.nFood was not bad, not great either, but might have been better if we ate in??nFries were a little soft any chalky, gravy was ok but lacked salt, cheese on the poutine was real curds and they remembered thir condiments, cutlery and plates! The burger might have been good in the restaurant, but the burger tasted like they need to clean the grill, just had that old grill taste, again not terrible but not great and perhaps more tolerable if it was hot.nNot a bad meal, but I feel like I might have enjoyed McDonald's just as much for half the price.nInside seemed more of a bar than a restaurant and I'm not sure I'd be comfy taking the kids, but again we didn't eat in, just picked up at the bar and left.nOverall ok experience. Our server was wonderful! She gave us an extra serving of fries. Also allowed us to switch our drinks and keep the originals at no extra cost.nnThe food was quite decent. I understand why people say this is one of the few if not only nice places to get a bite to eat in Bancroft.
