Thistle Fish & Chips

Excellent food and very nice servers. I got the halibut and chips. Fish was hot and cooked to perfection. Haven't had fish and chips as good as this in a long time. The chips were very good and appeared home made. The server was very nice and very attentive. The amount of fish and chips was perfect.

Easily the best fish and chips in Burlington. Huge fillets , great chips. I usually grab take out cause I can't deal with all the Buick's in the parking lot and what feels like euchre night at the retirement residence. :)

We got the Halibut. It was beautiful fish with a light batter. I love my chips crispy, and when I asked it was no problem! It was really good food ... surrounded by a lot of plaid.

Who doesn't like halibut and chips? This place is a Burlington institution; pretty sure the menu hasn't changed in 30 years- and that's fine. Tip: if you order for take out you get substantially more food than if you were to eat in.

Hmmm. Kind of greasy. Chips were soggier than I like. Big line up of seniors at lunch, clogging up their arteries. There is a following for this food style. The haggis had been hanging around under a warming light. Have had better.
