Waited for more than 15 minutes and the place was empty.. more than 5 waiters are free and non of them came to take my order. It's the place if you wana feel discriminated.
Excellent small venue for live music! Plenty of locations to place yourself so that you're not getting pushed around by the crowd, several bars to choose from, more than one coat check, great setup for will call, pricing excellent. Staff are fantastic, and the venue is easygoing.
Nice place and fun dancing, but it will take you a while to get a drink.
Made my friend pay 8.50 to get his ID back after not wanting to go in. Absolute terrible
I believe that all clients should be treated equally regardless who they are, yellow, black or white or how they look like. Visited this area with friends just to show them what we have in Kingston but our experience was not pleasant because how we were treated and not given a chance to talk to a manager to let them know that they need to improve their services and how they treat customers especially those from minority populations. We waited for 35 mins on the door because we didn’t reserve a table which was okay, but the guy on the door let 4 groups in even though they didn’t have reservations. Then his supervisor asked him to let his friends in and he was feeling guilt of keep doing it while we stand there and watching. So he let us in which we were happy about then sat for an hour without any service or even a grass of water! We finally placed our order but our server served 4 times a table beside us while we still waiting for our first order. We tried to tell them that that was not fair but refused to listen even serves us. We changed the location as no person should have experienced that or been treated that way. I thank all staff for great work that you do but hope that the management and servers will keep trying to do better and improve your customer service as it may affect clients’ experience. Good customer service=equality for all without any discrimination.
Went tonight for a concert for the first time since Covid. Place looks cool with the decor but that's about it. Upon using the washroom there was NO soap in the dispenser and no toilet paper in one stall with only an hour of the doors being open. When I told the coat check people as a heads up and asked if they had sanitizer back there they said no there's some up at the front. I didn't think this was particularly fair to the staff that they didn't have any handy. There was only one hand sanitizer stand and it was way at the entrance. People were walking around with no masks on constantly and I watched as staff of the Ale house looked at them and just kept on doing their own thing. I did not feel comfortable at all. Several people were stumbling drunk as well and clearly needed to be cut off long before. What was the final straw was the act on stage SPAT alcohol/water INTO the air twice over the audience; now I know they can't control the band but someone should have said something to them after the first time it happened. The fact that it happened again...wow. Won't be going back here again as I didn't feel safe.
Reasonably priced drinks and a great atmosphere very cool design to the bar definitely worth checking out
First Time Experience: Went here for a Frank Turner concert. Venue had seating and standing area. Decor is very cool. There is a plane on the roof and classic exposed brick walls. Event security was through yet not intimidating. Good acoustics for live music. Quality bar-tending. Well kept bathrooms.
Stressfully busy. Bouncer at the entrance was not the nicest either....
Me a couple friends tried to attend last night on my birthday was told they were only allowing queens students at the door .. absoultly ridiculous to turn away customers for no legitimate reason just because they are not a student 2 thumbs wayy wayy down
