Grandfather's 83rd Birthday dinner. Great service & good food. Serving sizes definitely smaller & prices higher. Quiet & nearly empty besides our table of 8 but was Tuesday night. Calamari & Shrimp dinner & Alcoholic bevy was $40 ... total for 2 appies, 3 meals, bottle of wine for table & 2 other alcoholic bevy's was $170+
It's my second time eating their food, and first time in restaurant. They do not disappoint! Seriously incredible food, super friendly, and prompt service. The presentation is top notch, and just wow. If there was a special six star option, they'd be getting it. Their decor, and interior paint is perfect. Edit: I wrote this sitting here, as I was waiting for everyone else to finish. Couldn't take the chance of forgetting to leave this review. Highly recommended.
* Rating reluctantly changed. Last time I went it in with family it seems as though this spot isn't following public health orders with regards to COVID, which is really unfortunate. First time at Minos last night and had a great experience. Spacious, clean, good ambience/decor, and staff were really friendly and helpful Jade was hilarious. Food portions are generous, and the food itself was well-made and delicious. We were also told that all the lamb is halal win!. Will definitely be back, and would highly recommend.
First off we would have totally passed it by if we hadn't have stopped at Surplus Herby's next door. We are so glad we stopped in. It was quiet when we arrived but we were early for dinner. A few more people came in after us. Service was prompt, friendly, and extreme accommodating. My partner has an intolerance to gluten and they allowed us to sub out the affected items for ones that weren't. The portion was huge and left us both filled. As my partner put it, we've had worse Greek food for more money. Our meal was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. Shrimp is so easy to over cook and make chewy but here it was done perfectly with that slight crunch. This will be a meal we think about for some time. We're just sad that we're not local to be able to enjoy Minos more often. Next time we're in Kamloops we'll be back. Parking: Plenty of on street parking in front. Dietary restrictions: They were accommodating to my partners gluten intolerance and replaced glutenous items for ones that were gluten free. We experienced no issues from cross contamination.
We ordered the roast lamb and it was very tender and tasty. They gave us a good amount of salad, rice and 1/2 Greek potato. Service was excellent and they checked up on us from time to time. Dinner was served within 15-20 minutes. Nice ambiance, easy to find and parking in the back.
My family and I went in for dinner, and we were so happy with all our meals. The waitress was amazing. The wine selection was good. We will be back.Food: 5/5
Although there are four choices for Greek food in town, in my mind there is only one. The authentic atmosphere as soon as you enter is exactly what you would expect if you might go into a family-owned restaurant in Mykonos. The food is absolutely fabulous and is not polluted by North American influence. You must try the lamb shoulder and the rack of lamb. The calamari will have you coming back while at the same time avoiding all the imitators at other restaurants. We had a large complicated table with separate billing which was handled in an expert yet friendly manner. I am well travelled in people are often surprised when I tell them the best Greek food can be found in Kamloops.
Ordered Roast lamb, was really good - really came off the bone. Really large portion. Good service.
This place is AMAZING. probably my favorite restaurant in all of Kamloops. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly & treat you like family after one visit. Most importantly, their kalamari is to die for — I would drive from the Lower Mainland to Kamloops just for the food at Minos.
