Great place to kill an afternoon with the kids. There's a few standard attractions like movies and the water play area (Discovery Zone, always a favourite of my little-ones), as well as additional Exhibit areas. There's almost always something new for the children to check out which is usually fairly interesting for the adults too. Full restaurant with decent food and a gift shop area to pick up a science-y souvenir on the way out. It's also well maintained and clean.

Probably the best science center in Canada. Better than, VanCouver, Calgary and Toronto. It's so interactive. Everything has a pile of thought behind it. On top of that there are hugely informative/theatrical shows every half an hour and there are also people who wonder around doing experiments ... if that's not enough there's also an I-max and science competitions every hour. AND THEN... if you get hungry they have everything you can think of and if you order a lot they bring it out to you. The gift shop is amazing too. Huge selection at great prices. Yep. So gooood! 👍 👍 big ones!

Quite a diversity of available content. I took my 4 year old and most of it was too advanced for him, but there was still a lot that engaged him at his level. I would imagine that an 8 year old would get quite a lot more out of the experience. We managed to fill a day from about 9:30 to 5, taking a long lunch break. You get stamped for admission and have a receipt, so for all of the general admission attractions you can actually leave to go out to grab a bite to eat and come back again. They have a good quality bistro in there but it isn't cheap either. Gift store inside with lots of educational type toys.

We consistently have a fun time at the World of Science, and are very excited for the updates to the space gallery. The green earth gallery presents climate change with a nod to the province's dependence on oil & gas, and has items of interest for both young children and adults. By far the kids' favourite part is the play area which features a airplane they can pretend to fly,a fantastic water table (bring a change of clothes!) and a treehouse. There is a mother's room in the kids area. In the science garage there is usually a building activity on, which is great for older kids (compressed air rockets were difficult for our preschooler) but also hands on activities for a variety of ages. The special exhibits seem very well chosen, we have really been interested and enjoyed all of those we have been to.

I have enjoyed it every time i've visited. I'm a bit sad that my favourite exhibit is gone though (that one with the police car and the crime scene)
