Welcome to the Ukrainian Museum of Canada, Alberta Branch!
The UMCAB holds over 2000 artefacts, including traditional Ukrainian folk dress and textiles, woodwork, ceramics, pysanky, religious books and icons, and contemporary paintings and sculptures by Ukrainian artists.
We are dedicated to the preservation of Ukrainian culture in Canada. Throughout its history, the UMCAB has had support from volunteers who have helped obtain, analyze, and record artifacts, set up displays, serve on the board, provide lectures and teach traditional Ukrainian crafts like pysanka writing, embroidery, weaving, pottery and paska baking. It is the first Ukrainian Museum established in Edmonton.
