I went in to destroy my debit card and get a new one (due to fraudulent debit charges), but the teller did it wrong or didn't fully explain the process. He never actually attached the new card to my account and now I need to chase around the city to rectify his mistake. He was working until close (8pm) on Monday, October 3.

I made a deposit at this branch and specifically asked if the funds would be available on a specific date and was told yes, on that date I attempted to use that money to pay for a car repair and was told the money was not available and would not be available for several days. Now TCF has put me in the position of no car, no money to pay for the repair due to a less than honest/accurate response to a specific question. Attempting to seek resolution/assistance from the "Manager" of the branch, TCF phone Customer Service rep and his supervisor did nothing but further frustrate me. I understand that banks are allowed to hold our money hostage but when asked specifically they should provide an honest accurate answer.

I went into a tcf to cash a TCF check. They charge 10 dollars to cash THEIR check. What terrible business practice. And Monday they will be charging you 11% of your check to cash your check if you don't bank with TCF. STAY AWAY, CRIMINALS AND CON ARTISTS.
