I travel for work. For years literally I have complained about not being able to log into my account from some countries when I'm abroad countries in South America for instance. I get rude responses from the IT department with solutions that do not work, such as use VPN note: I always use my companies VPN when attempting to log in. Unless I use a free VPN via sketchy website service to make it look like my IP address is in the United States, which might i add is NOT a secure option, then this does not work. By the way hackers or whatever they are trying to prevent could also do that.... Extremely frustrating. CCCU has many preventative steps in place already that will lock an account and notify you of a bad login attempt. Blacklisting IP addresses from other countries is ridiculous and not done with any other financial accounts that I have.
I have been a happy member for decades. Recently, there was a mix up with a transaction I had. The staff at this location was prompt and thorough in resolution. This is the type of institution and team that truly care. I highly recommend CCCU and this location. THANK YOU!
I came into the credit Union to get information on opening a Checking in the savings account. I asked about the requirements and the banker asked for my Driver's license I gave up my driver's license I asked him will it be a hard credit pull I was told it would not be. Within seconds I received notification that I received a hard credit pool and that the banker told me that he couldn't open the account I didn't agree that I wanted an account opened and now this is affecting my credit score. When I spoke to the manager about the situation he said it's just a small thing that be on my credit it's nothing.
i never write reviews but this place is just awful. so many unauthorized transactions kept happening on my account. they keep wanting more money to get the account caught up, and then it just gets overdrawn again. no other bank has caused me so many problems.
I have never ever felt so cheated. This was one of the worst "credit unions" I have ever banked with. My card was stolen three times and when I told them they told me it would cost me to replace my card because it's my responsibility to keep track of my card. But at the same time if it was stolen shouldn't yall like do something about it. Not only that I am paying for a car through this credit union that stopped working about a year ago and in still expected to pay full price for a car I cant even start. Then when I go pay for the car they take an extra 10 dollars. Why???? This is why I stopped using this bank and went through USAA thanks to my father.
I have been at this "City and County Credit Union", for a few years, mind you my account always has money direct deposited, into the account and never had an overdraft. I also get paid pretty well. I also have a decent credit score, I applied for a credit card TWO TIMES, and they denied me. I got approved by another, credit union right away. I DO NOT FEEL THAT, THIS CREDIT UNION, IS HELPFUL AT ALL. I work at a credit union myself and it amazing how much we here ACTUALLY, help our members. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BRANCH NOR THIS CREDIT UNION. I HAVE CHANGED MY DIRECT DEPOSIT AND WILL BE CLOSING MY ACCOUNT THAT I HAD FOR ABOUT 3/4 YEARS. DUCES!!!!!
Atm does not work and will keep your card and they WILL NOT put a out of order on the ATM. so unless you are ok with them keeping your debit/credit card don't go here. No help whatsoever with anything just passing the blame along. Horrible bank!!!!! Don't go near this or anything they are part of
Had intentions of going back to this bank that I haven’t actively used in 2+ years, and then one morning I get an update on my credit report that they sent me to collections for $170. The guy I talked to was not one bit of help. They sent letters to a old address apparently. But couldn’t give me one courtesy call or email. All I wanted was a chance to pay my bills and I can’t do that it if I don’t know I have a bill. So instead they charge $2 a day for overdraft fees on an account I DID NOT overdraft. All other banks I’ve ever had call/email/ and send letters before charging off an account. But thanks city and county for messing up my credit in the process of buying another home.
C&C CU has no sense of urgency, does not properly investigate fraudulent activity, tells you one thing and then does or doesnt do something else. They will give you lip service to make you go away. but when it comes down to your money, they could care less. Even if your out over 4k. Horrible just horrible business ethics, values and horrendous sense of community and the senior citizens that have banked with them for over 50 years.
In 2019 someone who shared my wife's name and has an account at CCCU entered the Shoreview, MN branch to get a debit card. This debit card was assigned against our checking account. There were no checks done to ensure the correct account was assigned, the person was given full access to our accounts and funds. In June of 2020 an auto bill for another member was assigned to my savings account. The person is not on the account, does not share my address, and they have no affiliation with my account in anyway. Unfortunately this account was not one which I monitor as no money is withdrawn and only a monthly deposit is provided. Again no checks were done and I was not contacted about this change to my account. When I discovered the charges last week after setting up an electronic account CCCU quickly refunded the charges from July through January. However, I am now told I may not be refunded for the withdrawal made against my account in June. I was CCCU will only correct account fraud within a certain length of time. I am disappointed that the bank does not look out for their members nor do they have systems in place to prevent these things from happening. Edit: The bank has since returned the full amount. So I have given another star, but something must be done to prevent these reoccurring issues.
