Taverna Greka

I can see why this place has been in business for 36 years. Delicious Greek food, tasty cocktails, excellent service & great ambiance and all for a reasonable price! What more could you ask for? If I had one small critique to make it would be, the chicken livers need to be patted with paper towel to take off the excess grease. While delicious, after a few pieces you could really taste the oil.

I did not expect the atmosphere to be so lively at a Greek restaurant. I figured it would be more calmer and quiet sit down. It was a Saturday night and this place was loud and hopping. They even had a belly dancer performance. The table we sat at had a nice view of the Fraser . The portion was smaller than expected but good. There is a kids menu so that’s always a plus . The servers were quick, attentive, and relatively attentive .

Atmosphere is great, excellent views, comfortable and clean, great vibe. Food is above average. Service can be inconsistent, depending on your servers and bussers, but friendly and helpful nonetheless. I'm not sure what's missing but I think it's starting to feel dated and too much like a typical 1980's Greek restaurant menu. Maybe time to reimagine those worn-out classic dishes with contemporary ingredients and more refined plating? Then again, if you're nostalgic for Greek, this is the place to satisfy your craving.

One of the best restaurants in New Westminster! Mainly it is because of their cuisine, so delicious and professionally cooked! We loved both meat especially lamb and seafood. There are plenty of space and the staff is so friendly and nice. The atmosphere is great and view is beautiful. On Tuesdays they have live music, that will just make the atmosphere and your evening much better!

Can't stop coming back! The lamb is amazing and very tender, and the chicken is a healthier option, but still is packed with great taste. Always get the calamari and has never failed us once. Great service as well!
