Visited here for the first time yesterday with a friend and received a warm welcome. First of all, the shop is clean and tidy, and the staff enthusiastically recommended the shop's signature dishes to us. We finally chose this table of exquisite dishes - Briyani Lamb, Chicken Curry, Fish Pakora Aloo Gobi and some snacks. The various spices stimulated my taste buds, and the hot and strong taste kept urging me to deliver the next delicious bite to my mouth - all of this is a new and fascinating exotic flavor to me. Ten out of ten, will definitely come back.
One of best Indian restaurant in downtown. Very convenient as it’s near the bus stop. Staff is really polite. Overall i love it.
I enjoyed their chicken tikka masala and lamb tikka masala, and the naans were quite good. The aloo paratha and biryani were average, but the portions were generous. I really appreciated that they allowed us to stay and pass the time while our flight was delayed. However, one downside was a random homeless boy who came in, sat with us without asking, and tried to eat our food. Although the staff handled the situation calmly, I will be more cautious next time to avoid such incidents.
nnI couldn't give more than 5 stars, so I gave a 10 on my ownnnIt is one of the best friendliest places in Calgary to have East Indian food.nnThe staff is awesome, and the owner is super cool. I've noticed that many restos have started refusing to dine in closer to the end of the day, even when you're 30 minutes before close. This is worse than a bank! But this place greets you with open arms even if you walk in at the last minute!nnFood tastes as good as the hospitality, I ordered Baingan Bharta, which is an eggplant in spices, an often overlooked dish, but boy this place nailed it! I don't remember when was the last time it was so good outside my home.nnThe naan was splendid, soft and tasty, baked perfectly with a touch of butter on top.nnLastly, never miss to try their Rasmalai, a perfect dessert after a hearty meal.nnThe owner cares a lot about his customers and the staff. I spoke with him to understand their vision, and he gladly shared the ideas with me.nnWatch out, Calgary. I will make it a point to visit this place again!nnDon't miss it if you're in Calgary!nnPS: I couldn't resist the aroma and took a bite before the taking pics
The food was terrible.nThe fish, we ordered crispy but it was soggy, tasteless and seems not fresh at all.nThe chat paapdi, terrible. The most terrible food i ate ever. It was only papdi, nothing else except some cilantro. After eating this chat papdi, my nightmare got updated.nThe Mango shake, man are you kidding me, there is no shake, it was mango flavor in water.nAnd at last, we have a winner which tops all these baddies, The lemonade. I can say its degraded jal jeera.nI hope no one get this much bad food like we did.nI am sharing the picture of the food that we were unable to eat.
