Take Five Bistro

The escargot was amazing, the sauce complimented the baked bread amazingly. The mini beef Wellington was so delicious and tender, the gravy was really good too. The crab cakes definitely had real crab. The beef soup was delightful but the beef pieces felt like little steaks. The lamb ribs were exquisite. The apricot complimented the lamb very well.

Let me start by saying the experience from start to finish was beyond excellent. Let's talk about the elephant in the room. Parking. There's a public parking spot steps away from the restaurant. It cost $3 to park. Also, you can park on the streets. Just make sure you follow the signs about when you can park on each side of the street. There's a space at the front that you can hang your coat. You are greeted and seated by a hostess. Intimate atmosphere I.e. lights are low so bring don't forget to bring your glasses But seriously, the ambiance is very inviting. Our server, Adrian, introduced himself and asked if this was our first time to which I responded that it was my 3rd time, another friend's first time and the other was celebrating her birthday. He responded Welcome back, welcome and happy birthday. From his quick-wit, we knew we were in good hands. He proceeded to inform us that the vegetables that we will be eating are all locally sourced and he would explain more when we order our entrées. We ordered calamari for our appetizer and a bottle of wine. Adrian was so attentive. He made sure our glasses was always full and that we had water. He would come by and say, let me clear the table to prepare for the next course most restaurants I've been to, just say excuse me and take our plates. It really is the little things. I had crusted salmon which came with locally sources vegetables and a side of starch. I had Croquette for my side. Adrian explained that each night, the inside filling changes. On this particular night, it was bacon, cheddar mashed potatoes. It was divine. The salmon was well seasoned. P.s. can we talk about how sweet and perfectly cook the carrot was! One friend had surf and turf. The steak was tender and seasoned well. The other friend had steak as well. The food was filling. I cleaned my plate. My friends shared a brownie with vanilla ice cream dessert and I had strawberries with vanilla cake. The martini glass that it was served in was cleaned. Adrian joked that he can see that I didn't like the dessert. They comped our appetizer because it was my friend's birthday. Overall, 5 stars for food 5 stars for service 5 stars for Adrian That's a total of 15 stars. When we were leaving a server offered to take some photos of us. I didn't get to catch his name but he said he was the new guy. He most certainly knew what he was doing because he was posing us for the photo. Perfect cap to a wonderful night. Thank you Take Five. Parking: Parking is located within 30 seconds of the door. Wheelchair accessibility: It's important to note that it is not readily wheelchair accessible but if they get a board, I'm sure it could be. I would most certainly call and inquire before making a reservation.

It was our first time at take five and it won’t be our last. For a couple who works multiple jobs, we don’t get out much. This was our first fine dining date night in years. From the minute we walked in we were greeted promptly and seated at the perfect two-top near the window. Everything from the ambiance, lighting and music pulled us in. Our server Brad was exceptional. The minute we walked in he greeted us and after finding out it was our first time walked us through the menu and was there to answer any questions we had. We’re used to being the servers not being served, and Brad was attentive as well as very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks served. I was torn between a few options and asked his option and I’m glad I did. The white cheddar bacon filet was like heaven in your mouth. I thought I’d go for the 9oz in hopes to take leftovers home but by the time I was done my plate was bare. We finished off with a strawberry flambe with ice cream and left full and satisfied Coming from a couple who works multiple jobs and doesn’t get out much, it was an amazing experience. Hats tipped to all the people who made it amazing from the host, servers, chefs and even patrons. Thank you for an exceptional dining experience !

First time in a while my wife and I were able to get out together, and Take Five Bistro didn't disappoint. The service and meal were fantastic and enjoyed every minute of our dinner. Can't wait to go back again. Great selection of wine, waiter did a excellent job explaining the menu and back ground of the restaurant. Would recommend to everyone.

I've only ever heard good things about Take Five Bistro, and so I was thrilled when a friend invited me there for dinner. It exceeded my expectations. The atmosphere is comfortable, intimate, and upscale. The wine list was outstanding and we sampled several bottles. Everyone in our party of 6 loved the food and everything was prepared to perfection. The staff was outstanding and were right there with us whenever we needed anything. Exceptional experience and I'll definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing from start to finish. I wish I could remember my server's name - he was excellent! He was there when we needed him, not there when we didn't. He even advised when we ordered appetizers to share that there were 3 on the plate, and offered us the option to add a 4th so nobody had to miss out. His knowledge of the menu and the way he carried himself and spoke to us was very professional, without being stuffy. I served in restaurants for 21 years, and this young man was possibly the best server I've ever had. I have a hard time relaxing in restaurants I usually feel bad for the servers or I notice every little thing, and I can say for the first time in a long time I could just relax and enjoy being a guest for a change. The cocktail list is extensive and the drinks are presented beautifully. The food is also second to none...try the calamari!!! Our steaks were all cooked perfectly to order. It's well worth the price to be taken care of like this and to be served really delicious food. I wish we had a restaurant like this near us! If we are ever back in Windsor, we'll be back for sure. Went for dinner last night with 20 other people. Our server Adrien was excellent. Very efficient. He waited on the whole room. Everything served was hot and served in a timely matter. I had the filet which was done to perfection. No complaints from anyone about their meal. Will decide go back

By far the best meal I have ever had. We frequent the Keg but the Keg is no comparison now that we've been here. My steak was a 12/10 as was the rest of the meal. Ask for Adrian's section, the guy knows his stuff and exceeded our expectations. No more Keg for us.

Gavin was our waiter and he was absolutely wonderful. Perfect timing on the food from the kitchen between courses. Food is ALWAYS first class. We love coming here for a night out as a couple. Wish I could rate 10/10.

First time eating here. .A Birthday Delicious Dinner...Filet Mignon, Caesar salad, French onion soup, the crusted salmon.....amazing..like wow well worth the prices....excellent waiter who explained everything to us didn't catch his name...highly recommend this place over THE Keg....thank you for a delicious dinner...
