The Bistro at the River

The waiter was good and funny. Very knowledgeable. It kind of sucked in the manner that they told us the kitchen was closing soon and they made the waiter rush as we saw someone order food almost 20 minutes after. The appetizer also came after the food and I tried denying it It’s hard to enjoy all the flavors when they clash and they weren’t having it. The pasta was pretty good and the calamari was at least large. The area is pretty cool considering. Side note we had no buzz after 3 full wine glasses of Sangria but I’d still recommend!

We were in town on business and found the only restaurant right on the waterfront. The Bistro Grill has a patio with amazing views of the Waterfront, the huge Canadian flag and the Detriot skyline across the water. The wine bottles were very reasonable priced for the quality we had a Joe's? Pinot grigio. The food was very good and fresh, we had the chicken lettuce wrap and the chicken snadwich. The best of all was the service: big kudos to Caryn who made our stay amazing, she was so attentive and sincerely friendly. We stayed longer than planned because of her excellent customer service.

The staff is friendly and nice, the food is not good at all. We ordered a burger and a chicken avocado sandwich with salad and a poutine. The burger was by far the worst burger I have ever had. It smelled and tasted like rotten raw meat, so we only had a bite and it was more than enough to leave the rest of it in the plate. The chicken sandwich was eatable, but it had absolutely no taste. Believe me, it’s not worth the money, and time. The poutine was funny, show this poutine to a Québécois person and see the reaction.

We were at a staff luncheon here and the food, the service, the atmosphere, everything was amazing. Karen and Billy were our servers and they went above and beyond. The chef, Rob and his staff . The gluten-free pasta, was sooooo good. I can't wait to go back with my family when it opens again next season. KUDOS!!!

We had a Christmas lunch here for our staff, and everyone loved it. With a full open view of the river, it gave our out of town guests a unique perspective of Windsor. Service was great, food delicious and an experience worth repeating.Food: 5/5

Beautiful patio!! Great place to sit and have some drinks. There is a waiter here named Anthony who makes the most delicious caesars! I highly recommend this place for an after work wind down! The mussels and bruschetta are absolutely wonderful. Great way to end a long day

Arrived at this beautiful waterfront hoping to have our morning coffee. It wasn’t open until 11:30, so we walked and enjoyed the riverfront while we waited. At opening, sat and asked for two coffees…”you’re not eating?” In a rude tone So, we politely asked her to cancel our order. We might well have decided to eat something later, 11:30 is early for lunch. This place in this location could be a gem. I’ll never return, sadly.

Had to flag down the waiter after being seated to order after 30 min wait, long wait for food that was okay. Come here for the view when you have a couple hours to relax. Do not come here for a quick bite. Really deserves 2 star rating but the view brings it to 3 stars.
