As mentioned in other reviews, the quality of the food has declined significantly. It was once of exceptional quality, even when it was quite expensive. These photographs were taken ten years ago, when we celebrated my sister’s birthday. Everyone present joined it. However, the taste has completely vanished, even though the appearance of the food has remained unchanged over the past decade. It is a sad state of affairs.
Order early! My favorite roll is the Angels Wasabi. It is wasabi marinated flying fish roe with cream cheese centre… I grew up in white rock and moved 6 years ago, and came back to take my kids to this epic experience… we were THRILLED with the sushi! It was exactly like it was 6 years ago. They are BUSY please order with time, they are perfect tasty beautiful rolls!nnWe can’t wait to move back! And be a regular customer again. Thanks so much for many years of delicious food and memories
Overpriced + Underwhelming.nn“Thick-cut” sockeye salmon sashimi were the smallest pieces of sashimi I’ve ever had. It was criminally not worth.nnCanadian Sunset and Spicy Scallop rolls were bland, and the spicy sauce was not spicy. It’s bad when you’re not sure what you’re eating even when you know exactly what’s in it. We also ordered only 1 Spicy Scallop but they gave us 2. They didn’t read back the order. Server probably fat fingered on the tablet and didn’t double check.nnOnly thing that was better was the Handsome Roll. There’s no reason to recommend going to this place.
Simply divine. Limited seating, so book beforehand. Server is very knowledgeable and supportive. The fish itself is extremely fresh and has no fishy taste at all. Each dish is crafted with care and excellence. They even had a fish that was almost extinct! A restaurant to experience, comes with a steep price tag, that's for sure! Feel free to ask for the servers recommendations.
Atmosphere: Dainty, bright, clean. Not loud at all.nService: Sufficient for the space, attentive.nFood: Came promptly. Nice selection of fish. Fresh tasting. Melt in your mouth.nPriced for the location but is not $$, more $$$nIf you’re looking for a decent sushi restaurant in White Rock, this would be it.
