Shochiku Sushi Japanese Restaurant

My boyfriend and I always love this place for sushi, VERY NICE PEOPLE work here. The servers were attentive, but not intrusive. My cup of hot tea was constantly refilled. The staff definitely deserved more than the 20% service charge.

I absolutely love this place! The tasty sushi rolls is a must have going to the establishment. The waiters are always delightful and I never have a problem.

We have been coming here maybe twice a year or so, for almost a decade now but tonight was our very first time to dine during the winter while drizzling and cold so we were surprised the staff asked us kindly to deal with the absence of central heating but space heater. We wanted to leave but because we love this place so much, we considered that. We thought the mgt was saving hydro since we were the only ones dining at the moment, we tried to understand that energy-saving, too. The service was not really slow, it was a decent wait. We ordered our usual favorites, the chicken and beef bentos and assorted sushi rolls. The dishes tasted good as what we came here for in the first place and we actually enjoyed the foods. 5-star for the polite and friendly staff and for the delicious meal which didn't need description why we love it here.

Not the worst, but definitely not "the best sushi in white rock" as advertised on their sign. I can't make sushi, but you have inspired me to try so I could tell you what you're doing wrong, because you are most definitely not doing it right. It felt lazy and effortless. I was impressed with nothing I ordered, and I ordered a decent amount of food for about two people. If it was cheap this would have been somewhat acceptable..? I suppose..? But this was not the case.

Really bad old sushi and tofu and rice. No heat in restaurant and smells bad inside. No one else eating there when we went at 7pm. Didnt bring pop we asked for. Sushi was barely edible rice damp like been sitting in rice cooker for 3 days. Cost 50 dollars too feel like I was robbed
