Tacofino

This is our go-to whenever we come to visit Victoria. We love their delicious fish tacos and we brought many people who also appreciated the food there. The portions are generous, even if it's not necessarily what I would call cheap. It is a must-try.nnThe vibe is quite unique to the west coast and it's something to appreciate.nnWe've been loyal fans of Tacofino since their days on Fort Street, and it's still our top pick for tacos in town. Their crispy chicken and steak tacos are absolute winners in our book. While my friend swears by the fish tacos over the crispy chicken, I can't get enough of the crunch and flavor in every bite. While the price per taco might not be the cheapest around, the fantastic flavor and generous portions make it worth every penny. Just two tacos each, and we were completely satisfied. This place comes highly recommended from us!

After trying all the burritos in Vic that I’m aware of, this place is easily the best. Tacos are spot on, too. My only critique is that sometimes the burritos are massive and every once in a while they’re disappointingly tiny. I’d give a 4.5 if it were possible, but I’ll give a 5 since they’re usually on the bigger side.

Came around 7pm for dinner in November winter. The fish burrito costs around $17 with tax, you order first then sit.nnAfter receiving the burrito, the staff opened and left one of the doors opened for the entire hour. The wind chill made the burrito cold in a matter of minutes.nnFrom eating a cold burrito, it seemed ok. A lot of bean filling though.

Fresh Mexican food, good burrito bowl but a bit tiny. Fried chicken is good but recommend the sirloin steak! First come, first serve tables.

My husband and I have been to a few tacofino. This was the second time we went to this location. We both ordered 1 fish taco and 1 crispy chicken taco.nThe fish taco, as usual, was delicious. However, the crispy chicken taco was basically inedible. It was overcooked, very dry, and barely had any meat. We could barely chew through whatever was in our taco.nBased on our previous experience and the overall reviews, we were not expecting the tacos to be that bad. The tacos aren’t exactly cheap either. Thankfully the fish tacos were somewhat filling.
