Since our doors first opened in 1954, Canadian families have been coming back to Swiss Chalet generation after generation. Our rotisserie ovens only accept fresh (never frozen), grain-fed, Canadian Grade A chickens, because quality is all we know. So what will it be? A Quarter Chicken with fries?

Went for dinner with 4 adults and a two year old. Told there was a half hour wait and we decided to wait. It took 40 minutes to be seated. We ordered drinks and they were delivered. On the 3rd visit by the waitress when we started to order we were told there was a half hour wait for chicken. We asked for another minute to look at the menu and the waitress didn't return for 15 minutes. We ordered dishes that she said would be quicker and pizza for the toddler. 50 minutes later we hadn't received any food. Not even the pizza. It was 10 to 9pm when we were finally able to flag our waitress down and she promised to check on our order. At this point 3 other tables that had been seated after us had been given their food including chicken meals. The manager came to The table and was so unsympathetic. She offered at first only a free dessert and tried to tell us chicken was a 45 minute wait. When I explained the toddlers pizza had no chicken on it she had no explanation as to why his food had taken almost an hour. Extremely terrible service and terrible management.

None of the complaints concerning food quality are even unique to any one Swiss Chalet location. Ever since Cara Foods purchased this chain along with almost ever other decent Canadian restaurant chain (which now includes the Keg), food quality is the first thing to suffer. This is Cara's system. Buy good restaurants and systematically destroy them but lowering standards and quality of food. Let's not forget how they got their start. They are Airplane food proprietors. Need I say more? It's a shame they have been able continue to grow their business at literally our expense. As Canadians we deserve better.

A standard swiss chalet . Very nice fish tank in the entry. Service was kind of slow but it seemed like they were understaffed. Food was okay but fries were soggy. I think the menu has gotten too big over the years for consistency.

Great location. Good staff. Quick service. Good value. Try the beef optipns. Almost as good as their chicken!

My skip the dishes order has been pending for over half an hour and obviously ignored by staff. Skip the dishes has called me explaining they’ve tried to contact the location to figure out what’s going on but no ones answering the phone. Busy or not it is a business, and working in a kitchen I know it can be hectic at times but this would never be acceptable at any restaurant I’ve worked at. Seriously let down by either the quality of the food or the service every time I have tried to order here... don’t think I will be ever again after yet another incident and I will be sure to tell friends of how disappointing the service here is.
