Story

Since our doors first opened in 1954, Canadian families have been coming back to Swiss Chalet generation after generation. Our rotisserie ovens only accept fresh (never frozen), grain-fed, Canadian Grade A chickens, because quality is all we know. So what will it be? A Quarter Chicken with fries?

Beautifully renovated. Waited 25 ish minutes to be seated. Well worth the wait. Big difference in the portion sizes. Couldn't finish our meal. Not complaining! Can't wait to come back. But with a reservation first.

The 430 dinner rush took some time to get seated. Food was good as usual wasn’t a fan of eating off a cookie sheet with parchment paper under the food. New buns look like dempsters buns from Walmart. Was told that they are getting plates again soon. Service was very good and friendly. Decor in the restaurant is much nicer then the south Barrie restaurant.

This is a somewhat more fancy/modern Swiss Chalet location. They have a separate area for take out and "express" orders, where you order at a counter (fast food style) and take your food to a table to eat it. One note: unlike the usual arrangement, the Harvey's here is not internally connected, and they won't let you bring food from Harvey's over to Swiss Chalet.

We ordered for pick up on a busy Saturday evening...order was placed on the phone ans ready for pickup in 12 mins! Food was great...swiss chalet is always amazing!! Although the buns have changed...it was more of a brioche bun...was good. We were definately missing the original roll though!

Great new look, menu is good too. Food quality is much better, but the new dishes make servings seem small, even if they aren't.
