Sushi Tango

My fiancé and I walked here on a cold Minnesota day, in fact we LITERALLY walked on a frozen lake to get here. And it was totally worth it. They have great surround sound speakers perfect for watching the football games, in addition the food is delicious and the plum wine spritzers for happy hour are great.

I've heard a couple of my coworkers mention Sushi Tango before, so I was glad to try it last week. We went during their Anniversary Special where the total check was 50% off, but 18% gratuity was added as well. Calhoun Square is very aesthetically pleasing. We arrived at 7:30 pm, but we knew the place would be busy that night due to their anniversary. Our table of 4 had an hour wait time, which was ok, since we walked further uptown for drinks and nachos. Our server was friendly and provided quick service despite how busy they were. Tried a shot called Devil's __ ? It was savory and pleasantly tasty! As far as I could tell, it had soy sauce, sesame seeds, green scallions, oyster, and qual egg in it! Tried spicy tuna roll, spider roll, philly roll, and rainbow roll. The rainbow roll was a bit fishy for my taste. Prices are higher than what you'd normally find for sushi and portions tend to be small. The atmosphere was very nice. I'll be back for their next anniversary special!

Sushi is good but beware. I ordered a spicy tuna and they served a crunchy spicy tuna (I wouldn't know the difference). Costs twice as much when the bill comes and since I already ate it they wouldn't correct it. Sucks because they even read back my order correctly when I placed it.

The sushi here is the best in the Twin Cities! Yes, they sometimes take their time but the wait is well worth it. Also, every time I dine here our server is 150% familiar with the menu and they always make great/honest suggestions.

Love the sushi here! Rainbow roll is my favorite but pretty much everything I've gotten here has been delicious. Service could be a little faster but that's ok.
