I came here with my wife and her friend on the strength of the recommendations we've gotten. We definitely came away feeling they had been done justice. Sushi quality, for me is unrivaled in taste and texture. Every different item ordered was presented beautifully and did not disappoint. The staff are world class in terms of service and attitude, no complaints. The only minor consideration I would pass is that do not compare it to the local AYCE places, as this place is NOT cheap, but I do believe for sushi of this quality, they are more justified in its pricing.

Don’t let the location fool you, Sushi Masayuki is helmed by a highly experienced, Japanese sushi chef and culinary artist. If you are even just passing through Burlington, Ontario, I highly recommend reserving a seat at the sushi bar and letting Yuki make the selections for you (notifying him of any dietary restrictions, of course). As calm and peaceful as a zen garden, Yuki and his staff let the art of Japanese cuisine take centre stage. Ambience is as removed from the strip mall as a stage is from an audience—you shouldn’t feel like you’re eating in a strip mall, at all. A hidden gem, Sushi Masayuki is easily the best Japanese food within 30 kilometres of Burlington, Ontario, at a reasonable price reflective of its quality.

authentic feel and food, pleasant ambiance, fair pricing for the quality of the food. No need to mission downtown or further east for great sushi/sashimi. We were blown away by the unagi sushi amd scallop sashimi. Beats all the sushi joints we have sampled thus far. Will be visiting again soon. Jyo nigiri dish was an excellent way to sample the fish. update 1 year later: still amazing! fresh everytime and the spot prawn sashimi / deep fried head is absolutely delicious! So good I forgot to take pictures! arghh, next time..
