Sushi Garden Lougheed

Worst experience. Was waiting to order, 4 workers were standing around cashier area chatting. I waved 4-5 times (mind you, this was at 430pm and there were 3 tables of people total), nobody bothers to look or notice me calling. I walk up to cashier to tell them I am ready to order, the man looks at me confused and tells another girl to take my order. She goes to another table that sat down after us. Takes their order and disappears. Comes back, Walks over to us slowly like she absolutely hates her job. Finally takes our order and the 4 of them resume chatting at the front. If you are open for business then act like you deserve to get paid.

Cosy and yet extremely Japanese restaurant. Quality and quantity of the food are well reflected by the price. Service is generally good; however, servers forget small and yet essential Parts often. Takeout would be much better option if you on the run or having a meet-up of 6 or more people.

Their beef udon is very tasty and their lettuce salad with ginger dressing is always fresh. Although I haven't tried any of their raw dishes, my friends who have, never had accidents so everything must be properly prepared and handled with utmost care. So that's a good news :-) The only thing that doesn't impress me is the front of the restaurant: it is not clean most of the time! There's leaking garbage bins and they smell, too. The management should look into this matter because the food is really good, quality and price-wise. If we are not dining-in here, we would phone in for our order and the food would be ready in 15-20 minutes. It's a decent wait time. So yeah, give your restaurant a thorough cleaning and we would increase the frequency of our visit.

One of my favorite places to go as the quality and quantity of the food is excellent. Normally very busy so best times to go are when it is not dinner or lunch time. It is worth the wait.

The food quality is the same as the other sushi garden on kingsway. Good and delicious. However this one gets a star over the other one because the service is actually good here. Quick and friendly.
