On top of spaghetti, All covered with cheese, I lost my poor meatball, When somebody sneezed. It rolled off the table, And on to the floor, And then my poor meatball, Rolled out of the door. It rolled in the garden, And under a bush, And then my poor meatball, Was nothing but mush...may I have another?? :)

I'm conflicted about how to "rate" this restaurant. It's not a great restaurant in terms of delicious fine cuisine. In fact, the meal was somewhat bland, with perfectly acceptable pasta covered in sauce that would not even meet the bar of canned sauce. I would rate the taste of the food as two or three stars. The decor in the restaurant is best described as eclectic and busy. There's lots to keep the eye busy here. It's clean and organized, as is needed in a busy place. There are signs of normal wear in this place. I would give this environment a three star rating. The service was excellent. The waitress was friendly and attentive without becoming too familiar. There was a local family vibe here that suits the restaurant. The food arrived quickly and I have nothing to complain about, perfectly adapted service to the venue. I would give our waitress five stars. The food portions are huge, as everyone else has already said. Yes, it's good value when calculated by price per pound of pasta. However, it's excessive and unhealthy from any perspective. It's not just enough for another meal when reheated. It's actually more like three or four healthy large portions. I completely respect that this is a signature element of this establishment; but that is not, in and of itself, a reason to award a higher rating. At some point, the large portion size becomes a negative and that's the case here. I would suggest they concentrate on a better flavor and reduce portions by 25% to 33%. In this regard, the portion size is not honestly a five star rating and I would say it is three stars for being excessive and negatively impacting the flavor of the food. So where do I land on an overall rating? Ultimately, I will say four stars. Those who eat here want lots of pasta and accept the impact this has on flavor. This is not fine cuisine; but they are good at putting a mountain of pasta on a plate and some want that. I likely won't eat here again, as I want something more from my dining experience. That's a personal choice.
It's like movies and looks impossible in 2022 in Vancouver!!! City of $$$$ with small portions! If you are a pasta lover like us! For sure try this restaurant! The food was huge!it passed big !!! And delicious! Cost only 22$ Quality Taste Staffs caring and behaviour Share your plates and enjoy different ones! Just note, if you are looking for ambiance, this is not the right place. Except this, everything is memorable there
Great food, big portions even for the small plates. There is another option for 2.75 to get a huge plate which easily serves two people. The best dish we had was penne antonio with extra tomato sauce. Baked rigatoni was great, it’s in the dinner menu. The service is so fast, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Minimum charge per person is 18, I would suggest you get a salad, one meal and a dessert because the portions are huge. It is a little busy, but definitely worth trying and waiting in the line. Definitely recommended.
we loved eating at this place. it has the perfect vibes and friendly staff. Shawn was an amazing server and on top of everything. the portions are huge and we just ordered one dinner size fettuccine alfredo with chicken for two and we still had left overs. their spinach salad was tasty too!!!!! i also got coffee which was bottomless and shawn pured me more coffee without me even asking because he was paying attention!!! the dessert was a rich chocolate cake and super yummy. our bill it was around $46 :D solid 9/10

Over 25 years later Anton’s Pasta Bar is renowned for delicious fresh pasta, friendly staff, reasonable prices, and enormous portions of food. Known as Vancouver’s original pasta bar, Anton’s is a neighborhood legend that hosts repeat guests from all over Greater Vancouver, welcomed by warm smiles and as much as they can eat”. You cannot reserve a table in Anton’s. First come, first serve. And most of the time there is line-up to go in. Upon entering, the Parmesan cheese smell is notices and huge portions of pasta on tables. As an average person, its almost impossible to finish your portion. Its too big and you have to take the rest home. ‍ While its too busy and overwhelming for waiters & waitresses, they manage everything and make a good communication with you. The atmosphere is nice and warm. Its a little small, but too cozy. Categories of pasta to choose: * Red Sauce * Seafood Sauce * White Sauce * Clear Sauce * Stuffed Pasta * Baked Dishes allow 30 minutes to cook * Specialty dishes If you love Pesto, ask for Penne Pesto hard to find in menu If you are a red sauce eater, go for Linguine Bolognese Enjoy!
Good place to get 2-3 meals out of one order or to share with the whole family since their dinner pasta portions are HUGE. Even their lunch portions are too big for me. Their pasta is quite delicious ... nothing mind blowing, just very satisfying. See pictures for lunch vs dinner portion. My nitpick is that they serve their bread cold. Last time I was here, I was told they add dairy milk/cheese to all of their sauces even the marinara. Except the oil sauces Just a heads up if you're lactose intolerant or have a milk allergy. Service is super friendly and overall atmosphere is cozy. Highly recommend!
We visited Anton’s pasta bar and were amazed at quality of food. We had the pesto and beef lasagna. This is easily one of, if not the best pasta we’ve ever eaten. I cannot recommend this place enough! Delicious high quality plates!
Crazy huge portions and very good prices considering this. I had the spinach fettuccine Gorgonzola and my friend had the lasagna and both were delicious! I like that the bathrooms are individual rooms as well. Note that they do not take reservations and during the dinner rush they will not seat you unless you whole party is present.
The service is good. Pasta is good but certainly not gourmet, the portion is HUGE that you can certainly get another meal or two with the left over. The bread in the sandwich is over toasted that I feel like I’m eating cracker with sandwich fillings.
Decades of serving a huge variety of pastas for everyone's taste, together with soups, salads, and some appetizers. Well known for their large serving portions and reliable pasta, Anton's continues to have lineups out the door with happy customers inside. Service was friendly and attentive.
