JOEY Burnaby

About

We get it right the first time, with globally inspired food and drink, in a modern and chic atmosphere.

Story

Since its inception in 1992, JOEY restaurants quickly spread into four Canadian provinces, Washington State and California. Not by repeating formulas and stereotypes, but by creating spaces that are perfectly situated to the locale and customer profile; JOEY continually develops and pushes the boundaries of casual fine dining.
JOEY offers globally inspired food and drink, using the freshest ingredients in a modern and chic setting. Our service is individually designed to accommodate your needs. Ensuring your visit is unique and special- it’s the way we do things, at JOEY.
We get it right the first time. This passion and culture is instilled in our partners, from CEO Jeff Fuller, who started his remarkable journey flipping burgers, washing dishes and sweeping the parking lot.
Jeff has a strong understanding of what it takes to build a business from the ground up, and our partners bring this to life everyday! “If there’s a secret,” he says, “it’s hard work, unwavering commitment to the customer, and putting together a team of the very best people you can find.” From this formula, JOEY has come to be a leader in casual fine dining.
Each JOEY location is unique to its area and while we may not all be the same, we have plenty in common: great food, fun times and exceptional dining experiences.

NOey to Joey…nnI have tried all the locations multiple times throughout the years and the last time here was almost half a decade ago.nnThis place is located on the second floor of the same complex as Save On Food and Winners along Lougheed Hwy close to Willingdon Avenue.nnArrived close to 9pm, waited almost 10-15mins before someone came to help even tho the place was literally almost empty, led to the bar but opted for the dining area Geesh, doesn’t take much to ask first? Here were the food I ordered;nn1. She pretty. Nice little mocktail but outside of the glass wasn’t rinsed thoroughly, still had that detergent smell.n2. Sliders Royale. Dry, lack of ingredients and tasted nothing but the cheese. Secret sauce? How about secretly remake these sliders to a better standard?n3. Seared salmon sushi. Where’s the wasabi and soy sauce? lol just kidding, not all sushi have to have that. Nicely pressed and seared, all the ingredients fused nicely together to give that tasty bite.n4. Hot wings. They looked dry and tiny much in need of a viagra injection but surprisingly they were tasty and juicy. Maybe Frank’s hot sauce is good on anything?!?n5. Blackened chicken. I ordered this cause I had a similar dish at Cactus Club and it was juicy AF, almost had an orgasm eating it. BUT not this one, this one should be renamed “DriedUp Chicken”.n6. Herb crust salmon. The ingredients were nicely put together and I enjoyed the taste BUT the salmon was overcooked. Having a perfectly cooked salmon is harder than cooking a steak.nnThe place was decently clean, seemingly a nice place to have a drink and socialize whether at the bar section or dining area.nnAs for the service, besides my server being good, everything else was a joke; waited almost 10-15mins before the hostess came I was very visible to the staffs and the restaurant wasn’t even the slightest busy, without asking led me to the bar section until I stopped her that I preferred the dining area as I want some quiet time service 101 greet and ask??, and seated me at a tiny azz table between the bar and dining section right beside a partition hostess 101 failed..facepalm.nnThe food quality was certainly a few steps backward from what I remembered before. Overall, nothing was impressive enough to score me a lucky dessert that night.nnP.S. what’s happening nowadays? Death of the department stores before now it’s becoming death of the chain restaurants?
Wow, visiting the Burnaby location for the first time was a blast! The view of the SkyTrain passing by and all the skyscrapers around was such a cool experience. Plus, they've got free underground parking, which is a huge plus.nnLet me tell you about Nat, the lady who took care of our table. She totally rocked it! It didn't feel like she was just finishing up her shift; she was all about making our experience top-notch. So kind and professional, it was like she was doing her passion. And there was another lady making sure everything was running smoothly at our table too, she was also super impressive. These servers really know how to make a restaurant shine.nnNow, onto the food – it was out of this world! The blackened chicken was seriously divine, like it came straight from heaven. Definitely a must-try dish!nnIf it's your birthday, just bring in the cake you've got. Trust me, they'll make it extra special. Their cake designs are seriously beautiful – like, OMG level!
JOEY Burnaby boasts a distinctive and refreshing ambiance compared to its counterparts. Its lively setting appeals to a diverse crowd, making it ideal for casual gatherings and family meals.nnDuring our visit with my partner, we kicked off our dining experience with the refreshing Matcha Mojito and Real Peach Bellini cocktails, paired with the Crispy Chilli Chicken starter. The flavor of the chicken was so exceptional that we ordered it again, while my partner savored the Blackened Chicken with truffle fries.nnWe wrapped up our meal with the indulgent Molten Chocolate Cake, which was simply delicious. The attentive service added to our enjoyment, with the waitress going above and beyond to cater to our preferences and suggest dishes that perfectly suited our tastes. Overall, the pricing was reasonable.nnOur visit to JOEY Burnaby was a delightful experience! The captivating view of the passing SkyTrain and the surrounding skyscrapers added a unique charm to our evening. The availability of complimentary underground parking was a significant convenience.
We often choose Joey for our date nights, and each visit leaves us thoroughly satisfied. From the warm welcome upon entering the restaurant to the attentive service provided by the servers and the consistently delicious food, everything always falls into place perfectly.nWhile I've explored various items on the menu, my favorites are the blackened chicken and truffle fries.
Great good, portions are good except tuna poke bowl, was obviously pretty small to compare with any other dish but still delicious though. Have good offer of 50 % off on bottle wine on Tuesday , but not a good wine list add something from old word, really lack on French wines.nService was great, Bianca is a top server thank younAtmosphere and cleanliness are good and the washroom looks so beautiful
