Super 8 West Haven

Everyone who worked there were accommodating and helpful. There is no elevator and many rooms smelled of smoke. The rugs are old and had seen better days, we did not go barefoot, the bathrooms also needed finishing touches. The shower was good. The beds were very comfortable .

The staff was friendly but you're definitely getting what you pay for. The room we got was fairly updated; newer desks and TV. AC unit looked clean and newer. However the bathroom was grimey and looked fairly dated. The door handle was broken, and all the nooks and crannies were dirty. The beds were comfortable and the sheets appeared to be clean however the pillows were old, lumpy, lacking in support and unprotected underneath the pillow case. Unfortunately, other people who were staying here were loud in the hallways. The place also wreaks of smoke and weed. At the end of the day, it's one of the cheapest places to stay in the area and I expected no different than what I saw.

Don't stay here! I thought all Super 8s would be about the same, decent quality, clean rooms, safe environment. I was wrong. I have a full write up on it in trip advisor if you are interested. Just do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else! Sleep in your car on the side of the road if you must.

From a Holiday Inn to a Marriott to here I might have to say this is at the bottom of the list but it is still a decently nice place. Comfy bed but only one pillow each and they were very soft, the bathtub had some dark old stains. But the AC worked well the TV was actually pretty big and the fridge was not only double the size from every other hotel I've stayed it actually worked incredibly well. The Wi-Fi was free but stopped at11:30pm? It was a nice quiet area, great price so it may be at the bottom but I would stay again when in the area.

I travel a lot, and I don't usually write a review for every place I stay, but for this one I feel the need to. It was AWFUL. We paid 92$ for a room that should've been 25$. First of all, staff is rude. They don't wanna be there and it shows. Second, the hallway smelled of a mix between weed, cigarette and humidity. In the room, everything was dirty. From the bed sheets (who even had holes in them) to the pillow cases with stains and even the windows. Everything was dirty. Let's talk about the bathroom. It shows that they do not wash the bath. It was brown and even had BODY HAIR in it, yes. The curtain shower was dirty and the toilet too, I was so disgusted by it that I couldn't sit at all. Don't offer ''breakfast included'' if what you have is old and dry cereals and some super dry pieces of bread. I am still mad I had to pay for this experience. Definitely never going back and I do not recommend it to anyone.
