The food is good, but not impressive. I wish they had more menu options.

Traditional Romain food plus schnitzel! They have Romanian beer as well! The mititei was delicious as was the schnitzel. Our service was great as well, polite and fast! Of you like Romanian food you have to come, if you've never had any before this is a great place to try some in a casual dining environment.

Me and my wife just walk in and they turn their back and run into the kitchen...nobody great us! More than that some other customers from the bar, after I greet them, told us that we can have a sit whatever we feel like...the restaurant was empty anyway except from those guys at the bar. Very hot and humid inside, no AC neither ceiling fan were on. We ask for diet coke...they don't have! We ask for still water...neither that! No ice tea...no lemonade...We got eventually sparking water...no ice, however they provide straws...Straws are use in case you have a drink with ice, not without...We ask for a popular soup, the meatballs...they don't have! We ask for chicken stew...they don't have, only pork. The icing on the cake is that they don't even have on the menu the most famous romanian dish, stuffed cabbage rolls! The restroom stinks like they haven't clean in a week! They don't even except credit/debit cards!!! No ATM in the proximity...you have to call someone to bring you cash!!! Ridiculous! However, the food, whatever was available it was pretty good! But that doesn't pay off the missing items and the lack of environmental. Definitely we'll not return and neither our friends...

Excellent Food! Very good prices. Great service. European feel. It reminds me of Eastern Europe exactly. Clean place, Romanian TV playing. Romanian locals are always there. That tells you something. Goulash is wonderful. Home made bread is superb and lots of it. Great place. And Nelly is sooo nice.

Went there with a couple local of friends who wanted to taste Romanian food. They were not disappointed : The food was great, the service was awesome. Overall, It was a great experience.

We celebrated our twins baptism this past weekend on July 8th, and we are extremely pleased with the service at Nelly' Saloon. The staff is friendly and well organized. The Food, OMG! DELICIOUS! worth every penny. We received many compliments from our guests. It was a great night. This place is clean and kids friendly. Thank you Nelly's Saloon for making our celebration memorable with the wonderful service. We will book next event here again.

Went there last Friday with friends from California, Chicago, Detroit with international backgrounds of Laotian, Dominican, Romanian, Iranian, Mexican, American and more... and we ALL loved this place! The stuffed cabbage was wonderful! The bread was made there, that day, and kept coming. Polenta, Timisoreana and other traditional Romanian and European food & drink were served and enjoyed by all. Even the Romanian wine was very good. Prices very reasonable, service very friendly, and a place worth telling others about. Go check out the best Pilsner available, Timisoreana. We will be back, hopefully those native Chicagoan friends with us will now frequent Nelly's too!

The food was delicious, gracious ambiance, lovely & comfortable dining room. In spite of that we were waiting so long to be seated, waited so long to be handed our menus, waited so long for our orders to be taken. Therefore, we would not return.

The best homemade bread and Hungarian Goulash!!! Their assortment of sausages is also excellent to have with a cucumber tomato salad!!!!

Just wanna be positive about ,but quality is far away from what should be..so if you want to eat Romanian foods just go there...
