definitely we enjoyed the songs and we danced. Worth trying. Just be aware the tip is on the bill if you have a table. We ended paying 40 percent tip!
Wanted to join my friends here on New Years, but unfortunately didn’t get a 30 dollar entrance ticket online in time. Once my friends got there they called and said you still were selling tickets at the door guess you didn’t have a sold out night after all Which I thought.. well 50 dollars tops… So, I ubered downtown stood in line. And was asked for 90 dollars at the door, which I asked if that came with any complimentary champagne or drinks, your door staff laughed in my face. I left obviously walked to a neighbouring bar where I was greeted with NO cover, awesome music, a free shot from the bartender as well as a couple glasses of champagne. I get what you guys are trying to do here.. The discreet sign at the front to keep yourselves “exclusive”, the prices of your drinks from your incredibly rude bartenders, and door staff that will laugh in your face when you question a 90 entrance fee. But trust me I’ve been all over the world, and places like this don’t last long. Hope the “influencers” that become attracted to this club open their eyes soon.
We payed $37 per person just to enter the club to find that there were no available places to sit unless you pay $200 for a booth. I would understand if the venue was packed but there was maybe 20 people and not a single seat was occupied. Left within 20 minutes of getting there, staff was unhelpful they had my cover money and that’s all they cared about. I would not recommend this place to anybody unless you are looking to spend ungodly amounts of money for a mediocre product.
I had my birthday here. The environment is fun, I appreciate the seating available that most bars don't necessarily offer and I found the atmosphere to be enjoyable. I'll be back for sure
You guys are crazy to treat customers like that. Rude staff, overpriced, DJ was absolutely a joke. Good that in Calgary are lots of better places to go.
Looks like an upscale club with all attributes such as pricey beverages and fancy decoration. It seems trying to match up with European clubs. Perhaps it's more busy when the theme parties are there. I came on Saturday night and found not so many people around. The DJ was playing at the same beat level trans or similar style almost the whole night. Mixing with pop music would probably bring more people to the dance floor or to the club. I had fun anyway

Poor service, dead atmosphere. We went with a group of 14 and were forced to order bottle service that we didn’t want after we had already ordered $200 worth of drinks. Our service was terrible, the server said we had no choice but to get bottle service but failed to mention this before we ordered $200 worth of drinks. Literally no one there but us. Staff did nothing to make us feel comfortable or valued. Was super awkward when we arrived. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
Calgary needs more places like this! I thought I was in in the upper east side in New York, or in West Berlin, or in Soho in London. Such an epically designed interior and amazing cocktails. The perfect place to come and wind down.
Incredible venue - gorgeous decor features, ipen concept ceiling vibes and the dark tones give a classy night vibe feel to Sub Rosa. Only drawback is the entrance - at the aim of exclusivity, I think the mark had been missed. The entrance from the main strip of Stephen Ave is not well directed, you sort of have to already know where it is or ask someone. Spent 10 min walking around trying to find it on my first visit. Other than that, rad spot for an evening hang and a cocktail or two
