1000/10 recommend. Our experience here was outstanding and everything exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the Prestige King room. The room was clean, spacious, luxurious, romantic, and all things good. Housekeeping came in to clean up during the day and kept everything tidy and refreshed our towels. Chad and the rest of the concierge team were friendly every time we saw them. The valet drivers were prompt and professional. We also booked a couples massage which was amazing. Room service meals were hot and delicious - so much so that we ordered on several different accounts. We are so happy with our stay and thank all the staff members for making this a comfortable and luxurious experience.
I have stayed here a few times now and have been very happy with each visit. Staff are super friendly. It has a very modern vibe that I enjoy quite a bit. Everything is clean, comfortable and the rooms actually feel quite a bit bigger they technically are. Has everything you need and then some. Fantastic location.Rooms: 5/5
I loved staying here. The staff were great. The room is nice and it was clean. I wished hotels didn't have such fragrant products though. They are always too strong and flowery. Would be nice if there was something more unisex. Also, it would be nice if the staff would replace items used like tea bags so we wouldn't have to call and wait. It happened twice. Forgot to add, worst blind and lighting system I've ever used. It's just a pain in the....
Lovely hotel, superb location. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. It includes a mini bar, Nespresso coffee maker and safe. There are many pubs and restaurants right around the corner and it's close to a beautiful shopping center with botanical gardens. Friendly and efficient staff. Great for solo female traveler. Highly recommend!
I didn't have a room as I went for a 4 day long meeting. The television in the room doesn't work properly but their staff tried their best so we had to do without it. The food service was of quality, they tried their best to accommodate the dietary restrictions of a coworker but there might have been a misunderstanding as he could not eat most that he got, we appreciated the efforts. We were required to go back and forth between meeting rooms and after request they loaned us an access card to re-enter the room. Having the card helped us greatly and kept us from having to continuously ask them to let us back in. Walkability: It is close to the ctrain and many the core shopping mall , theater Calgary , Glenbow museum etc
We stayed on Sunday. The staff was nice and professional. I think the pictures of the hotel is deceiving as it looks very modern but once you get there, everything looks a bit old up close. Our room was really stuffy so luckily we had a window we could crack open for fresh air. No screen on the window so a lot of dust flew in. The curtains were broken and our mattress is old cause it was super firm in the middle and soft on the edges. We had really high hopes for this hotel but we’ve stayed at nicer for the same price. Location is great and again, staff was amazing.
Overall I thought this hotel was great but there are some service issues that need to be addressed. When I booked online, I booked the couple's package that included a massage at RNR and parking. The email confirmation I received had me in for the "Mother's day" package. I replied asking to confirm the package and received a call back rather than an email reply but they did verify the package I booked was correct and the email was simply wrong. I was then told that despite booking my package through the hotel, I would need to call the spa directly on my own to book the massages. This is not very convenient and it would be much better if the hotel staff could communicate with the spa staff to arrange the booking. The rooms are excellent, spacious, and the definition of luxury. Furniture is very comfortable, bathroom is quite large, and there's plenty of room for any luggage. My only complaint about the room would be the window fixtures. The cords to raise and lower the blinds are nowhere near long enough. In order to reach the cord, you have to stand on the desk. This is not safe or convenient. Service staff were excellent to deal with once we were at the hotel. Check-in and out was a breeze. Valet service was excellent as well and ensured our vehicle was present when needed. Unfortunately, the service from before check-in followed suit after check-out. 2 days after we checked out, I noted an additional $31.50 had been charged to my credit card with no notice or updated invoice. When I followed up with the staff, they informed me that house keeping noted three bottles missing from our mini bar. Given the ridiculous prices of hotel mini bars, we made sure to not touch anything in that fridge except the coffee creamer. I'm not sure if this is the front desk staff lying or if housekeeping is stealing from the minibar and hoping guests don't notice the charges. Either way, this makes me extremely unlikely to stay at this hotel again knowing I cannot trust the housekeeping staff. The hotel did eventually refund the minibar charge.
We came in late and asked if the restaurant was still open. They said they were but you could tell they just wanted to go home cuz the food was quickly thrown together with no care. If you didn’t feel like doing them job properly they never should have sat us and we would have went somewhere else and gotten decent service and food. We purchased a suite because we had one the last time we stayed which was beautiful. They room they gave us was large but not the same feel. The second night the heat didn’t work. When I mentioned this to the lady at the check out desk she did apologize but did nothing. Later I emailed the manager about the heat. He was very polite and said he would give us one nights stay but in a lesser room. I just don’t think that’s reasonable because we had NO HEAT in NOVEMBER in a suite we paid good money for and to give us a room that is lesser is an insult. If they would have given us the same room we would have booked more that just the one night so they would also be making money from us again. We will not be staying or recommending this hotel to our out of town clients again.
Decent hotel. Unfortunately the parking ruined our entire experience. We opted for self parking since it was cheaper than valet for our time duration, and we had already self parked. $34 versus $45. We also had some family visit us. The parking payment system was completely down, and multiple other cars couldn’t get out. After trying for almost 30 minutes, the front desk - after asking if we had cash instead of card let our family let of the parking lot. In the morning we were again unable to get out of the parking lot we asked if it was fixed and they said it should be ok, and were told we had to pay $45 to get out even though we didn’t go with valet parking, even though it was their parking systems issue. Eventually they agreed to charge us $34 instead to let our trapped car out. This ruined our experience.
It sadly did not live up to our expectations. A few things of note were that although the room was clean and the bed comfy, the sound throughout the hotel really carried. We had guests walking down the hall and talking outside our room fairly consistently until about 4am making sleep difficult. Also, for it being a fairly expensive hotel to start with, unfortunately some of the extra costs really didn’t feel very worth it. The valet was quite expensive but required as we were driving a car and didn’t want to park blocks away, and the breakfast was a steep price for what it was croissant, a hard boiled egg, a bit of fruit. We also ended up waiting along with many others the next morning for about 30 minutes for our car to be valeted, we honestly would have preferred to walk and get it ourselves! Lastly, it was a little bit sad that my husband and I stayed here the night of our wedding and even though we came still dressed up to check-in the staff did not acknowledge us with a congratulations or any other comments—not the end of the world but I think we just expected more out of what is supposed to be a nicer hotel.
