we recently visited Steamworks Brewery in Burnaby, and we had an amazing time! The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and inviting—perfect for both casual hangouts and business meetings. The IPA here is absolutely delicious—crisp, refreshing, and packed with flavor. It pairs perfectly with the crispy chicken and fries, which we grabbed from one of the awesome food trucks nearby. The food was fantastic, with the chicken being super crispy and the fries just the right amount of seasoned.nnWe enjoyed everything so much that we’ve already decided we’ll be coming back more frequently, especially after work. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some great local brews. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a chill spot in Burnaby!
Watched Jess and Henry Unplugged as we enjoyed our food truck treats. I had the chicken tenders, breaded with flaky and crispy topping and a delicious fresh burger. Fun flights of beer and comfy bar stools to watch the show. Think we will be back to check out the trivia night on Tuesday.
Facilities is a little horrifying but everything else was good. Carrot cake beer was yummy if you like the fall spices. Very disappointed that they didn't post bite of burnaby was only available certain days. Went there with a group of friends for a birthday and then was told their food truck is not running that day. How could I have known it was dependent on their food truck and it wasn't everyday? Just a disaster.
Lavender-earl grey beer is pretty good and I like their selection of canned cocktails. Service should be better. We ordered two regular chicken burgers yesterday for takeout both of us were asked if we wanted spicy and said no. we received a spicy chicken burger and a hamburger. When I asked for a replacement, they gave me a spicy chicken burger. I didn’t realize they were both spicy until we bit into it and it was disgusting. Not just was it spicy, but it looked and tasted like a frozen chicken nugget reheated and tossed in salty spice seasoning. Like it was literally 3 chicken nuggets in a bun and the texture of the chicken was clearly previously frozen.nThe hamburger was great, good portion of beef, perfect amount of sauce and toppings, an absolute delight. The regular chicken burger was also good another time we’d ordered it, so I’m very disappointed to have spent so much on something that tasted like old bar food picked off of the floor, especially when it’s not what we even ordered. Server should’ve at least made sure before giving us our takeout container that it was right. Instead they said “hope you’re hungry” snarkily and left the food at our table so quickly I didn’t even have a chance to respond. I could not come back here or recommend this place to anyone.
Craft beer heaven with serious personality nnSteamworks Brewery is a hidden gem for any craft beer lover. The moment you walk into the taproom, the vibe is laid-back, industrial, and totally cool. Their beer lineup? Creative, bold, and packed with flavour. You can tell they know what they’re doing.nnBonus points for the funky little beer van and the friendly staff who actually know their stuff. Whether you're grabbing a growler or chilling with friends over a flight, this place hits the spot every time.nnEasily one of my top go-to breweries in Burnaby!
