The closest I’ve gotten to Montreal bagels in Toronto (a bakery in Kensington was similar or slightly better). The bagels are pretty sweet - they taste like they were boiled in sugar water instead of honey water. The texture is also a bit different compared to Montreal bagels.

Great bagels. We ordered through Mama Earth Organics delivery service, as we are a bit of a 'hike' from Toronto.

St.Urbrain has very tasty bagels that are a tad on the sweetest side, but they are baked fresh right before your eyes. The inside is chewy and soft, while the outside has a nice crisp finish. They also do run cheap (especially if you get toppings). The staff are always running around however they seem to work well in the chaos as the service is always quick!

When the bagels are fresh, theyre fantastic! When theyre not fresh, theyre very mediocre.

6 months after and I still think of that Montreal-style bagel with cream cheese and lox, that I pretty much inhaled while eating - let's leave it at that!
