Prairie Girl Bakery

Absolutely love Prairie Girl cupcakes. Every time I’m in Toronto I make sure I visit at least once, but more often than not I end up here several times. I adore their cream cheese frosting, especially the strawberry. Their regular selection is great but they also feature new flavors every week which are creative and a treat to try. Their gluten free are moist and rich just like their regular cupcakes. Definitely give Prairie Girl a try if you have not already. For those new to Prairie Girl I recommend the Strawberry Chocolate, Red Velvet, Peanut butter banana and coconut to get a nice sampling (either in the minis or cuties size)

I have a wheat allergy so I am SO HAPPY that I can now have not overly dense, cardboard tasting gluten free cupcakes. There's a little too much icing for my taste, but they offer a "half icing" option which is perfect. Staff members have also always been friendly and helpful in my experience.

This Prairie Girl location is very busy as the location is convenient for all. The cupcakes are baked daily and moreover, baked the old fashion way using fresh ingredients like creamy butter and real eggs.The staff are very courteous and receptive of customers' need. I high recommend visiting and purchasing cakecups from any Prairie Girl Bakery location.

I just wanted to make sure I made mention of my amazing experience here. I placed an order online and the day before I was scheduled to pick up my order I realized someone in our group was lactose intolerant. I phoned the bakery and left a message with the caterer asking if it was possible to make one of the cupcakes lactose-free, thinking it was a slim chance my message would even be received or accommodated at all on such short notice. When I went in the next day, there was one individually packaged cupcake that was labelled "vegan" and I was actually so impressed that not only did they handle my request, but everything was so beautifully packaged and waiting. Oh, and the cupcakes were absolutely delicious. I'll be returning for sure, and thanks again for the fantastic customer service.

Excellent treat size cupcakes. Good service, however can be slow if there's a line up.
