This is one of the busiest stations on the subway network. It connects like 1 and line 2 and serves the north side of the University of Toronto St George campus as well as the Annex. The station is frequently at capacity as the connection between the lines is done via the staircases located in the middle of the two central platforms. The station has two exits and is connected to a bus station. This station would benefit from screen-doors as it is very easy to be accidentally pushed on the rails when is busy.
Best exchange station between Line 1 and 2 out of the three Spadina, St. George, and Bloor-Yonge. Relatively calm and safe, usually not disrupted. Service is standard as the rest of the lines.
I recently had the opportunity to visit the subway station where Line 1 and Line 2 intersect, and my experience was overall satisfactory. The station's location at the intersection of the two lines provided convenient access to various destinations. While the infrastructure was functional, it didn't particularly stand out in terms of design or aesthetics. The signage was adequate for navigation, although some areas could have been better marked. The station appeared to be adequately maintained, but there was room for improvement in terms of cleanliness. The frequency of trains on both lines was decent, ensuring reasonable waiting times. While there weren't many additional amenities or services available at the station, it served its purpose as a functional transportation hub. Overall, it was a decent experience, neither outstanding nor disappointing.
St. George Stn allows to you make all your transfer needs & amenities. It gives you great access to midtown Toronto, Bloor St, the ROM, Yorkville and Varsity Centre and much much more!!!
Good station, easy to connect to Lines 1 and 2, and as an UofT student, I like how it's directly accessible to the campus.nnAlso, it's a good alternate route to the Bloor Street entrance of the Royal Ontario Museum.nnStill no washrooms, but oh well.
