This station is pretty decent for TTC stops. Soon to have a connection to Line 5 Eglinton If it ever opens, this station has a lot inside of it? Want to get drycleaning done?: Head over to the bus bays, in the mood for a cinnamon roll? Well you can get that in there too with a built in Cinnabon. There are so many stores inside of the station as well as being one of the few with washrooms, and it is wheelchair accessible. Construction is easing up, so hopefully it will remain great.
very good bus and subway service out of this station, with convenient shops and food options within the fare paid zone.nnthe station itself is a bit worse for wear. the missing ceiling panels don't inspire confidence.
I love the convenient subway system of Toronto. I especially liked the long length of time you can travel counted as a single ride without an additional feeyou can actually leave and come back to the subway freely within a single ride time limit. One day, there was extensive maintenance of the yellow line, and Toronto ran a replacement bus service. The shuttle buses also seemed very convenient.
This is the main Eglinton Station which is on Yonge Street on the east side of Line 1 subway. There's another station called Eglinton Station West which is on the other end of Eglinton Avenue. Don't mix these up. There is Eglinton-Yonge Shopping centre next to this station across the street which has Metro, Rexall, Sephora, Wieners, Gap, and LCBO shops as well as Cineplex cinemas. You can find a variety of food and drink options nearby.
What use to be the northern terminus of the first subway line in Toronto is about to become a transfer station to line 5. This central island platform is very crowded at rush hour. Additionally due to the y going construction it is a bit difficult to navigate around the station. The space if is not adequate for the current volume of passengers. It lucks ventilation during summer which reduces the confort. Recently all the screen tv that provided information disappeared.
