Lower Bay Station is a closed and unused subway station below the Bay Yorkville station. It is used for movie shoots, special events, and things of that nature. As well, the TTC uses this for their Halloween fest once a year as part of the United Way campaign. Sometimes it can be accessed through the doors open in Toronto event as well. Many movie scenes have been shot in this location. The Halloween event is definitely one worth checking out.
This line 2 station serves the area around yourkville village and it is utilized by some of the University of Toronto students. The station is a bit dated and has a central island platform surrounded by the west and east bound tracks. From the east end of the platform you can connect via underground pathways all the way to young and bloor station. The journey is not as glamorous as the one done inside the Path system in the central business district, but never the less can facilitate the walk during less than ideal weather.
I have a question about the station. I'm planning to go there with a few friends and I'd like to know if the station is generally open to the public or is it only open on certain days and events?
Lost Articles Office located at Bay. Excellent customer service. I've just got my missed wallet within 5 mins by giving my valid ID & answering few security questions for safety purposes.
Station not really in use. Only open for special events such as musical performances or doors open festival. Awesome space.
