Solid dim sum, you've just got to come first thing. Food comes quickly and fresh, the cart servers aren't super pushy, and the cost is great. Everything was pretty tasty and totally worth the trip.Food: 4/5
This place is one of the few places that offers authentic Cantonese food in the area. Been here for decades. Solid food offerings, sometimes slow due to the volume of people, but it's worth it. They do offer Americanized Chinese food, but don't get it. They also have good dim sum Vegetarian options: Plenty of options to pick from Dietary restrictions: As far as I can tell there may be a few gluten free dishes, but its pretty limited. It won't be labeled though. Other allergens, you'll need to inform them of course. Kid-friendliness: Lots of space, high chairs available Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp near the entrance
The taste of the food here was ok. I have had better ones. The service was a little slow. We waited for a long time to get some dim sum on our table. I don't like or dislike this place. It's just one of those restaurants that you probably won't feel strongly about coming back again, but you may if you are passing by and want some dim sum at the moment. The price is reasonable. Parking: Plenty of parking.
Nice and varity of Chinese food. Service alway is quick. I like to order roast duck and dim sum here. They are a good one to try. Also it is a huge restaurant, quite a bit hotel style. Clean and organise seats & tables No worry, you will alway have room to enjoy your meal there.
I have been at this Silver Fountain for several times so far. This time the food is just little warm. It means the food is a left-over food from yesterday. The taste is not fresh cook. No water served or come by to ask if we're OK. Usually, I tip 15% for them, but this time I tipped less than 15%. The old lady at the cashier checked my receipt right away and a few minute later, she sent her waitress asking for more tip. I gave it to her, but she won't see me again. She has a bold to ask for more. Tip is voluntary, not a mandatory. I tip what is the service and food provided. If the food and service are bad, I tip accordingly. She does not know how to run her business. I won't recommend this place to my relatives and friends. AVOID IT AT ALL COST. SHE DOES NOT DESERVE MY HARD EARNED MONEY.
Dim sum dishes are delicious as always. We have been come here for dim sum for over 20 years. However, it seems like they are short of staffs today. When we asked for adding hot water to our tea pot the service person said that she doesn’t have time to do it. We didn’t get angry but we felt so funny. We still paid 20% tips just for supporting the business. Hopefully they hire more staffs and improve the service.
My friends and I went to lunch in this restaurant yesterday. We were joined by my friend’s 94 yo uncle. Food was great. I gave 1 star for service and atmosphere. Service was 1 star because no one ever comes to your table unless you wave the waiter to come over and it’s really hard to get service. When we finally settled our bill, the owner demanded that we leave right away because they need our table. We were still finishing up meal and didn’t want to hurry the elderly person who was with us. The lady came back again and demanded we leave since we paid and they need our table for other customers. I told her we’re not done and we will leave when we’re done. She did this 4 times in a very rude way. Definitely ended our meal in a sour note. I have never experienced this kind of customer service in the past. What a very disappointing experience.
UPDATE: Video volume up and photo included. I’ve been ordering food from this establishment for years. Lately, the quality of food has seemed to decline. This evening I placed and order to pick up and one of my meals was crispy beef. Unfortunately, there were telltale signs that the food had possible freezer burn, was left under a heat lamp too long, or over cooked/fried. My food was basically crispy shell with no sign of beef inside. It was discolored and most of it was so dry and clumped together that wouldn’t come apart. This dinner was very disappointing. I have a picture and video of my food which I will try to post.
We haven't been here in years, but everything was tasty and quick to come by on the carts. It wasn't as busy as I remembered it to be, but everything was great. The three things we really missed were the egg tarts, custard bao, and sticky rice.Food: 5/5
Dim sum is likely their strength. As for other dishes, the beef chow fun is really nice. Smokey, fresh noodles, and large portions. The sesame chicken however is just pretty normal, not quite the yumminess of Panda Express' orange chickenDine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
