Chong Qing Cuisine

What a great meal and experience we had. The noodles was perfect, the spicy-level was terrific! This Chinese kitchen is very spicy so be aware. This was great and I only wish we had something as good closer to where we live. The garlic cucumber and the taste of chicken sides was very nice. Big portions as you can tell by the pictures.

I come here everyday whenever I visit Honolulu. With help from family & friends, I basically tried everything on the menu which is nothing short of delicious, authentic, and unique. Personally I prefer the dry noodles versus the noodle soup as the dry ones absorb more sauce and therefore more flavorful. But the noodle soup dishes are definitely worth trying, too. My favorite are the dry mix noodles with pork and peas my husband loves the peas - “Wan Za” in Chinese I believe and their cold sliced beef side dish with homemade chili oil. Also, soybean milk and genki forest soda are recommended to go with the noodles/rice with higher spicy level.

Great experience at Chong Qing. We had clear bone broth soup with extra noodles and the boiled fish. Great for sharing for two people. Everything is extremely tasty and fresh. Noodles seem to be handmade. Very good quality! If I could give some feedback I wish they would put less chili and peppercorns in the boiled fish because every bite had peppercorns in it.

Very authentic Chinese Chongqing style noodles! The best meal I had in Honolulu. We went here twice during our short stay. We also ordered to go for their fried rice as our breakfast the next day, it was still super delicious even it get cold.

Had a magnificent meal at WuWei. The wood carved QR code made ordering and paying for the meal extremely easy. Staff were extremely kind and friendly ! The food was amazing and authentic. Would highly recommend and will be coming for date nights in the future. Definitely a little hidden gem on King St.

Excellent testing. Duck wings, duck heads and duck feet are great attempts, I guaranteed to be addictive to them once you eat duck. Authentic Chinese Sichuan flavor in Hawaii. In my personal preference, I like duck wings and duck head with spicy more than noodles. I think WHWEI restaurant’s main specialty is about DUCK because of its better flavor/ Tasty. I never forget I ask three bowls of duck head. it’s worth trying duck.

This place is so good, I'm already craving it as I'm walking out. We ordered the WuWei spicy beef rice noodle and spicy pork noodle with pickled vegetables. The beef for the spicy beef noodles came on the side so you can control how much oil/spiciness you add to the base broth. Highly recommend both. We're definitely coming back for more. The service was fast. You can order from your phone at the table. Not a ton of seating space unfortunately, but we came around 1130am and there wasn't much of a wait. Update Aug 13: ordered delivery from this place and it's just as good as it is in store.

Very delicious and authentic Chinese noodles! I wish they had this at my hometown. It was my American husband's first time trying authentic Chinese spicy noodles and he loved it so much we went back the next day!

Hidden gem. I ordered the mapo tofu with fried eggs and the pickled cucumbers. They definitely use the sichaun peppercorns well to deliver that authentic tongue tingling experience. The pickled cucumbers are a great palate cleanser, crisp and tart, not overly sweet. Also their online ordering/payment system is one of the best implemented contactless infrastructures I’ve experienced. Staff were great, food came fast. Definitely check them out if you are looking for something a little less crowded and more spicy than usual.

Small place but quick turnover. Order from your phone at the table and you can pay in the app too, super convenient. Tried both the beef and sliced pork. I like the rice noodles a little better but both types were good. Add-on order of intestines were excellent! If you like spicy, people I ate with said those options had good heat and flavor, not just burn. Lots of metered parking on King Street. They also offer takeout options.
