The staff is very friendly and polite. It's very easy to place your order as each table is given a tab and you can add and remove items from your order before calling the server by clicking an option in the tab. They serve you complimentary hot tea. The food is very flavorsome and they can spice it up too. The meats are tender and cooked well. Parking is difficult to find during lunch and dinner time as there are many other restaurants in that place. Kid-friendliness: Very friendly Parking: There's plenty of parking spots but it's usually crowded on weekends and dinner time Wheelchair accessibility: It is accessible
Pretty authentic Sichuan fare. The ordering is pretty simple with the iPads, and the service is quick. I found the prices a little on higher end for Chinese food in general. The intestine and spicy beef were very flavourful, but the cold noodle was my favourite. Overall I’d give 4 stars, but docked another star as our vaccine status was not checked to dine in.
2022 February 3.5 A nicely decorated restaurant with a fair amount of tables. As the name suggests, when you step in, the lighting has a red ambiance, but not red enough to distort the normal lighting. The cuisine is Szechuan or Sichuan in proper Mandarin. Had the Chong Ching BBQ Tilapia Fish. Though the name is misleading, this fish is actually deep fried and then comes in a very flavorful and spicy stock base. This had a lot different ingredients lotus root, bean sprouts, mushrooms and the tilapia alongside with different spices Szechuan peppers, hot peppers, spring onion, fermented soy beans etc. Personally though, while the flavors are good, I believe the fish was frozen and found that the fish wasn't as fresh. The Beef with Chinese Broccoli was good. Pretty standard dish, but the meat was flavored and cooked well. Chong Ching Spicy Chicken. Deep fried diced chicken pieces stir fried in a peanut, peppers and other spices. Good flavored overall, though not as spicy as I would've liked. You can let them know to make it spicier. A lot of peppers, but never enough chicken. Sweet Vinegar Tenderloin. Again deep fried and tossed in a sweet vinegar sauce. The crunchy shell was pretty good. The sauce itself was good too. Overall a good restaurant for some spicy food and worth trying if you haven't. Order online at their website or call directly for a telephone order and you get 10% off. Uber prices are higher. Parking in the plaza is available and free.
My favorite Chinese restaurant hands down in this area! I loved everything that we ordered when we went there twice. It’s little far from our place but when we go to Markham mall or somewhere close then this is our place to go from now on. I highly recommend this place!
Delicious and authentic meals with sizable portions. Ordering was cumbersome as it's done on iPads. The first tablet froze after we entered our order which needed to be reentered on another iPad which also then froze. We eventually ended up ordering on a paper menu. The food was worth the wait though!
It's the worst experience I ever had in a restaurant. The waitresses told us that their sea food is highly recommended and pushed us to order lobster, fish, etc. At the end we were charged way more than she suggested. The restaurant ended up tipping themselves 15% without asking. We frequented the Red at this location before but it seems the owner has been changed. We saw no crowded customers anymore. If you want to come, be extremely careful and read the most recent reviews.
Great portions for take out, and the prices are not too bad when I ordered pick-up. Food is not overly salty or oily; quite satisfying for a change from pizza during the stay at home routine. Usually when I order water braised fish, the concern is always that there may not be much fish, or the fish is bland. Here the fish is flavourful in the chili oil with the peppercorns. Picture shows 1 of 2 containers of the fish when you order a small size. The beef and tripe cold dish comes in a very good portion. The chili oil comes in a separate container with sesame seeds and herbs; very fragrant. Beef rolls are like what you’d get at Asian Legend; pretty good with the scallions and beef with a sweet and salty sauce. Can’t speak to the dine in experience because of COVID19.
Been there for the past 6 years and the food quality is still pretty decent. However, during our most recent visit, there happens to be a metal nail in one of the dishes. They should be more careful about it. Otherwise 5/5 for taste and environment. Parking: You can usually find parking somewhere in the plaza. Dietary restrictions: There can be some peanuts and other ingredients within the dishes.
My friend's favorite restaurant and I like it as well. Especially the soupcannot remember the name, but it has all different kinds of vegetables and seafood in it. The soup is white color. It is so delicious!
ordered a table full of food for some family friends and one of the waitresses came up to us to tell us that the food we ordered was not enough for us. they are extremely pushy and rude, forcing us to order crabs, fish, and duck. waitress then proceeds to mess up the entire order and did not follow dietary restrictions. the restaurant ended up tipping themselves 15% without saying anything. we had tons of leftover food at the end Dietary restrictions: do not follow restrictions
