Shawarma Club

Shawarma Club at 323 Burnhamthorpe Rd is an excellent spot for authentic, flavorful shawarma! My colleague recommended this place, and after trying it once, we were instantly hooked. The food is fresh, juicy, and perfectly seasoned — definitely one of the best shawarma spots around. The only downside is that the wait time can be a bit long during busy hours, so ordering ahead is highly recommended. Totally worth it for the taste and quality.

I ordered a chicken salad and the experience was totally unacceptable.nThe chicken was raw, which is extremely unsafe to eat. I also found a small piece of glass inside the salad and even a small hair mixed in the food. The vegetables were old and not fresh, exactly as shown in the video.nnThis is completely not good quality, and it is unsafe for customers. I hope the restaurant takes this seriously and improves their food handling and hygiene.

So the first time I visited Shawarma Club it was closed for renovations. I honestly forgot about it until it popped up on food near me on Google. So I was eager to taste some new Shawarma in the neighborhood. I ordered the mixed dinner meal as you can see from my bill, and also got charged HST. The person working had no clue what was going on. It was my understanding that all prepared foods from any restaurant fell under the government's tax rebate?!? I have no problem paying the price with taxes, like everyone else I just wanted a break since 90% of my food is takeout.nWell I respect the fact they will give you a meal if you can't afford to pay. Now for the food. I will say that for the original cost of the meal and the amount of food you do get is worth the price. I got a lot of beef and chicken, less rice and salad. For the amount of meat I definitely needed more sauces. I'd even pay for that if I had to. And maybe a pita. Separate the salad for takeout so it doesn't get so soggy. New owners. Old place was bad! But I find it’s a great lil spot now! Great guys! Although the young kid could learn to be a lil more customer friendly,seems to be in a mood all the time. But the other two gents are great! English not great but they try to understand!nAlways met while waiting with a small complimentary cup of lentil soup! Nice touch!nFood is delicious and fresh for fast food takeout!nAlso if you’re down on your luck! They will feed you for free! What an awesome thing for a small business to offer!
