Shari's Cafe and Pies

At first I was a little skeptical about this restaurant due to the location. I ordered a side of hash browns and eggs. Which was absolutely wonderful.. I didn't have enough money on my card so I asked the waitress to let me leave and grab cash. She did. And when I returned she gave me a free milkshake to go. I love this place. Will for sure go back.

Did online ordering suppose to be ready At 7:31 pm but an issue with the kitchen not getting the order ended up waiting for another hour for the food. We only live 3 minutes away, food was cold. We order chicken fried steak with gravy on the side, gravy came or of cup in one big clump and was cold. Called and talk to the manager Nick, he said could not give any kind of a credit for the bad food, only choice we had was to return the food and have it made again or he would refund the back. Told him that I did not want to wait another hour for food, had my 82 year old mother needing to eat because she is a diabetic and so are 2 others. My grandson needed to eat also, so we had to warm their food up, but the gravy was so thick it never became a gravy. He did not apologize for the issue, just defended the temperature of the gravy, which was a sausage gravy. Should have been just a plain white gravy. The salmon I order was way over cooked. He said it was against company policy to due any kind of credit. I have bought a lot of pies from Shari's but this was one of the worst examples of customer experiences I have every had. Shari's has lost a customer even for their pies. Nick has only been there a week and trying to clean it up but this is not a very good start. Don't eat at this one because food will not be good and management doesn't care about the customer!!

Awful experience. Every other Shari's we've been to has been great. This one makes you wait 30+ minutes after the time they say your to go order will be ready and sends you off with rubbery chicken and old pie.

The day staff is excellent. The food is good and facilities clean. But i work nights so i usually come at night. Its nice that its 24 hrs. The night staff is terrible. You will never be seated, the staff will see you and ignore you. The place will not be busy. So i seat myself, and still will have to wait a very long time, with a "just one sec" from the waitress. I understand that their is only one waitress at night and waits will be a longer, but this place is rideculous. Its not like they are busy, MOST of the time they are just standing around joking and complaining. The day staff however are exceptional.

Three stars given, only on the account of our server. Very nice, professional, and sincere. If it weren't for her, it would be one star. My wife and I went tonight, strictly for the prime rib dinner. A half hour after getting it, the meat and the potatoes were cold. Within 5 minutes it was literally not edible anymore. Our server gave us the opportunity to speak to the manager, but I didn't want it to be a poor reflection on her. Ate there many times, with no issues. But after tonight, we'll skip the prime rib.
