Samosa Hut

First time buying from here and it was just fantastic! Fresh, delicious and great portion sizes!! I had a Biryani plate with tandoori chicken and butter chicken. I also ordered 3 diff types of samosas Lamb/jerk chicken and Spinach&cream cheese with a side of cauliflower. Wish I ordered more samosas though lol they were scrumptious!! I have enough leftovers for dinner tonight AND lunch tomorrow. Highly recommend! Also, the guy working was super nice and informative

Samosa Hut is amazing !!!! Incredible customer service ! Definitely check them out. The food is great! So far I’ve had the shawarma plate and shawarma chicken pocket. Both were very good. You will not be disappointed. And also, if you have any questions about the food they are able to explain in detail exactly and the spice level.

I stopped by for lunch and decided on the small Fusion Shawarma Biryani Plate. I chose not to get the salad, which I would add next time my mistake. For my two meats I chose Tandoori chicken and Devil's chicken. Next time I would choose two that weren't so similar again, my mistake. The food is all served from a hot table. It was very good, although, it was only lukewarm which was my only complaint. It's more than enough food for two meals or for two people to split. The portions are super generous. The Devil's chicken is great, it is very spicy, I like spicy food and it's at the upper end of my heat tolerance. We've ordered their samosas in the past, our favourites are the veggie. Overall an awesome spot.

I don't know what happened to this place? I assume new management or ownership?? I used to love the fusion burritos, in fact I last ordered one Sep 1st and it was quite large but today the burrito was literally HALF the size it used to be for the same price! I was still hungry after eating it. My wife ordered a biryani plate and it was completely different from what she ordered . . . it was supposed to have tandoori chicken, cucumbers, turnip, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, and garlic sauce . . . instead it came with a few scraps of chicken, onions, and an egg on top?!?! My wife called and the person was extremely rude and said that was what she ordered and hung up on her . . . my wife called back and the restaurant would not pick up the phone. I can no longer recommend this restaurant . . . what a shame, I used to really enjoy the food here.

I wanted this place to be great so bad because its close to home... tried 3 times now. All three times have been disappointing. Today, right in lunch hour - very limited selection, out of sauce for samosas and I'm certain these are frozen/premade samosas... Maybe just try elsewhere. I wont even describe the poor experience we had with the dinner plates on earlier visits. Two stars... because they're cheap and I ate all the samosas even though they were disappointing.

I think the samosas have slipped from a solid 5 star to an average 3 star compared to when they started 2017. I would probably still go back since whitby location is close to home, but less often of course. I am not happy with the current quality level. The samosas back in 2017-2019 used to be way better. Their ajax and oshawa locations never disappointed. But I think sadly their quality slipped during covid. And the Whitby location is just not doing great. I wish them well and i hope they improve their quality back to their original standards. I miss those great samosas!

Tasty samosas, however some did not have enough filling. The naan taco's were very tasty, I recommend the mutton. The server didn't give me the toppings I asked for and seemed to struggle to understand me.Food: 4/5

Great samosas and very tasty fusion food. We've catered through Samosa hut numerous times for events and people are always really pleased with the flavours they have so many different flavours of samosas and their sauces are tasty as well.

JUST got my Uber eats order I got a tandoori fried chicken shawarma wrap, and their cilantro, garlic rice. my first time getting food from here ITS SO GOOD! I had to stop and write a quick review because I know it helps the business. Very yummy, portions are a big size they filled my rice all the way up lol. Only thing I was a bit confused about was the app said it was buy one get one free shawarma and I only got one but no worries, not sure if that’s the restaurants fault. Will definitely be eating here again!

absolutely atrocious. would rate 0 stars if i had the opportunity. they gave us the wrong order and even had another persons name and phone number attached to it. we called back both the driver whom delivered the order AND the establishment itself, both were extremely rude and seriously unprofessional. whoever was on the phone in the restaurant itself hung up mid conversation and refused to pick up the phone again when we called back. do NOT order from this establishment, we’ve frequented here before but i see that will no longer be the case. extremely disappointed.
