SEFCU Fitness Center

If I could put below a 1 star I would. The gym is incredibly small, maximum capacity is around 40 people and they keep making it more without doing anything else equipment wise. The equipment is decent, but for a state university this gym is horrible. Some of my friends go to community colleges that have much better gym's than SEFCU. There is no real landmine row, instead we have a hole in the wall for the bar to be jammed into. The school closed one of the three gyms which makes SEFCU even more busy this semester. Spring 2022 There is no good time of day to go because it will be full either way. There are 2 bench presses, 4 cable machines, and three squat racks. although one of them doesn't even have a cage One of the cables has been broken since last semester and nothing has been done to it. The school is very COVID conscious, although there is over maximum capacity at the gym with people more or less standing shoulder to shoulder trying to find a spot to workout. This is a great school but I am extremely disappointed in the gym.

I'm rating the gym along with the access to the exercise classes and pool, the gym is rather small, my biggest complaint is no kettlebells but they have everything else pretty much. The gym has more then your budget gyms would have in the area and costs less per semester especially with the pool access and classes normally a lot more money at a regular gym with pool. The jacob's ladder is a big plus, most gyms don't have one, always go here off peak. The gym is lacking more strength equipment, this is something one can supplement by taking exercise classes which offer a lot more equipment. The pool is great, its never at full capacity, I can always swim in my own lane and hours are plentiful. The classes are great also lots of variety and some pretty intense ones also TRX for example & Strength Training.

Free for students, has everything you need and is close to campus. Edit: 2 years later my biggest complaint is the size. This place is almost always packed and you may find yourself in a queue for equipement. Go earlier in the day if your schedule allows it.
