Great gym in Albany New York. For those looking for heavy weights and or power lifting, they have it all. Friendly great staff.
Great gym in the 518. Has everything you need equipment wise and isn’t typically packed. Customer service is great at the front desk - nice staff and solid communication.
To everyone that has been scammed by Best Fitness at, if they refuse to honor your canceled membership, contact your bank ASAP for unauthorized charges, cancel the card that is on file and your bank will reverse the charges. File a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney Generals Office as well.
Super good vibes and an amazing facility. Staff is really nice and the gym is really clean. Id recommend this gym to anyone
This is a great gym. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The facility is very clean with a variety of workout equipment! I've been member for years and in the past year I started working with a personal trainer. Sure I can say I did the work, but without the guidance and knowledge I would have not made the progress I've made. I can't say enough about the support I received from the staff at Best.
Me and my friends are college kids at UAlbany. We were looking for a day pass one day just to get a lift in because our school gym was full. We were told by people who came here that the pass would be 10-15$ at most. We were lied to by Chris apparently according to Steven his name is Connor now?, he told us it was $20, and he said “Why don’t you just sign up since the month pass is only $27.99?” Us college kids not thinking any better decided to sign up after being manipulated for 45 minutes. 2 months into our membership we were hit with a $53 “annual fee” that we were never informed of when we signed up. Due to this we quickly canceled our membership. Today we were just charged with another $27.99 fee after canceling out membership 3 weeks ago. Chris told us it needed to be within 2 weeks to be ok. If you want to be repeatedly lied to and manipulated this is the place for you. They act like they’re the nicest people when you’re there but in reality all they want is your money and they’ll do literally anything possible to get more money out of you. Greed is littered throughout that gym.
The water filter that everyone uses in this gym has not been changed even before COVID. Its been indicating its needed a change since almost 2019. Great equipment and staff, but as member I'd like to know I am drinking clean water and not water being filtered through a 3 year old filter.
I moved out of Albany and had to cancel my membership back in October of 2021. I got told I had to do it over the phone, by email and then come in person all for them to continue to bill me up till May of 2022. I requested to receive my money back but I kept getting sent to other people and couldn't get a confirmation. I was promised my money back but still didn't receive anything. I was directed to a "S.. Scott" and still just got the run around. Wouldn't recommend, they trap you in to continue to take your money. Ask anyone else who has had to leave.
Really good gym with all the equipment you need. The staff is really helpful. The equipment is clean and well taken care of.
