Scotiabank Theatre Toronto is easily one of the best places in Canada to experience a movie, especially if you’re watching it in IMAX. The auditorium, massive screen, crystal-clear projection, and powerful sound system make every film feel incredibly immersive. Watching The Odyssey here was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.nnThe theatre is clean, well-maintained, and organized despite being one of the busiest cinemas in Toronto. Staff were friendly, entry was smooth, and everything felt well managed. The location is also excellent, right in the heart of downtown, making it easy to combine a movie with dinner or a day out in the city.nnIf you’re a movie lover, this theatre is absolutely worth the trip. Whether it’s a blockbuster, an IMAX release, or a special screening, Scotiabank Theatre Toronto consistently delivers one of the best cinematic experiences around. Highly recommended!
First time in Toronto and had a night off, so went and saw a movie here! Packed house, most folks had good etiquette not on their phones at all. Only gripe I did have was that 3D glasses weren't handed out upon entry. I think only half our theater picked up glasses on their way in so when the movie started there were dozens of people standing up, crossing, and walking to the front to pick up glasses. Every other theater I've ever been to gives them to you based on your ticket.
Saw the Mandalorian here. They turned their bar into a Star Wars Cantina which was cool. The IMAX theatre here might be the best one in the city in terms of screen size and sound. Pro tip - if you park underground make sure you get a voucher on your way out to get a discount except on Fridays and Saturdays apparently. We watched the last show so there was no staff at the customer service desk but they thoughtfully left parking vouchers for people to use. Our parking ended up costing only $5 which is unbelievable for downtown Toronto. Great movie theater and great experience.
I went to watch a movie at Scotiabank Theatre Toronto, and overall the experience was good. The IMAX hall was quite busy, which shows how popular it is.nnHowever, the concessions were a bit disappointing. The popcorn wasn’t great, and when I asked for flavors, I was given powder to add myself, which didn’t really match what I’m used to.nnI would recommend the cinema for the movie experience, but the snack options could definitely be improved.
“Watched Avatar: Fire and Ash in IMAX 3D, and it was by far one of the best laser projections I’ve experienced. It was like watching a huge OLED TV.The visuals took the 3D experience to the next level—unmatched compared to other IMAX theaters. The sound quality was also excellent, noticeably better than other IMAX screens in the GTA.”
