Yeah it’s an older theatre but honestly it still does the job really well!! The location is super convenient right in the heart of downtown and the screens are still great for the movie experience. Seats are comfortable enough and the sound is solid. It’s got that classic cinema feel to it which I actually kind of like. Nothing too fancy but you’re there for the movie and it delivers on that. Would definitely recommend it especially if you’re already in the area!!
This theatre may not be the newest, but it still offers a great movie experience. The location is fantastic, making it an easy choice if you’re downtown. The picture and sound are both enjoyable.nMy only suggestion would be to improve the cleanliness of the theatre, especially the washrooms, as they could definitely be better maintained.
I had an amazing experience at Cineplex Yonge-Dundas! We went to watch a Michael Jackson movie and booked VIP seats everything was perfect. The seats were super comfortable, the atmosphere was great, and the overall service was excellent. It made the whole movie experience feel really special. Definitely one of the best cinema experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend!
PSA: do not purchase seats on row G in the IMAX theatres. The row is only 3 inches higher than the one in front so half of the screen is covered. Even without someone in front you won’t be able to see the bottom 25%. I was with tall friends and they couldn’t see either. Otherwise it’s an ok theatre.
Clean well maintained theaters with helpful knowledgeable staff. Saw a science fiction movie in their VIP theater and it was a solid experience all around with comfortable seating, very good screen and immersive sound that worked great for the movie. VIP meant an adult viewing experience. The Scene Points and CineClub membership are recommended for frequent movie watchers. Concessions are expensive, but that's always been the highest margin for theaters. Washrooms were well maintained too!
