Reserved a table for brunch. Ordered drinks and waited quite long. Yes they forgot our order. Asked and got the coffee in a min. Waitresses need to be more professional on services. Food is well cooked but in really small portion. Not for starving person.
The food was okay, service was awesome! BUT! The major problem is they share the same space with a hair salon next door. You really don’t want to having your chill Saturday morning brunch with strong hair spray/hair bleach smell and loud hair dryer noise. Ruined everything. It’s a nice place but it could be better!!
While the fusion concepts are interesting and unique, we felt that the flavour is so so. The tamagoyaki omelette was nice, but a tad sweet. I was not a fan of the mochi pancake as it was too dense and tasted somewhat like uncooked flour for me. Price is reasonable for the portion. Service was warm.
Had a reservation and was looking forward to having brunch here. Unfortunately when we arrived the smell of bleach or chemicals was so strong we had to cancel our reservations and leave immediately. The restaurant is on one side and a hair salon is on the other side of the room. I guess it’s good if you’re at the salon and get hungry, there are options for food but if you’re just there to eat it doesn’t offer a very pleasant experience breathing in chemical fumes. It’s too bad since their menu items looked good.
We ordered the Scenic Breakfast and Yuzi Egg Benny with Hazelnut Hot Chocolate and Flat White. Food was excellent and drinks were great. Would come back!
Decent brunch spot in Markham. It’s attached to a spa/Salon and has interesting artwork on the wall. The food was good; however, the eggs needed to be cooked some more. Note: the seating limit for reservations is 1.5 hours exactly.
Food was good and staff were friendly. However, I docked two stars because our order took extremely long to arrive. Our drinks — a latte and americano — took 30 minutes to arrive. Afterwards, it took about another 10 minutes for one of our dishes to arrive, and then another 10 for the other. As you can see in my photo, by the time I got my food, my brother was already halfway through his food. When the table beside us followed up with the waitress to make sure their drinks were coming, she responded with something along the lines of "there's a few orders ahead of you which is why it's taking so long". Which I guess is true, but surely not enough to justify a 30-minute wait assuming they waited as long as us for coffee? Which is great by the way, they get their beans from Hatch Coffee. I thought it might have been an off day, but based off previous reviews, it seems like this is common.
Great food and coffee. Price isn't cheap but the quality of the food made it reasonable. Service was good as well. Love the latte and pancake.
we didn’t make a reservation although i would’ve if i had know they offered it online while many don’t! they still were able to sit us. we got eggs benny with pea meal bacon and omelette with a generous portion of mushrooms. i personally didn’t really get the japanese inspired part but it was still well priced!
This was a surprising treat! The hojicha latte came in a large cup and was very nice not to mention the presentation of it. My favourite was the eggs benedict. The biscuit combined with the yuzu sauce and the beautifully cooked egg was a flavour masterpiece - absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend. The mochi pancake was good as well but it was really the cream that made it awesome. I would highly recommend this place. The only downside is that it is a bit pricy given the quantity of food but the quality made me not feel too bad about it.
