We loved Bella the robot server, but that’s where the love affair ended. We payed $10 for a new menu item called Ramyun Korean style soup. It was very disappointing, we had mild veggie and spicy veggie. I think we counted a bit of spinach and a few strands of carrot and onion. Honestly, it is $2 more than the meat version and it has nothing extra, in fact, I’ve made better soup at home with a pack o’kimchi and veggies that I needed to use up in my fridge. Super dupe for a veg head like me A for effort! Maybe stick to the sushi if you eat here… Maybe the owner, who I’m sure works hard, will read my comments and take my suggestion to add some veggies please!
Service:1/1 Serving/portions:0/1 Price:0/1 Wait time:0/1 Taste:0/1 Wait time was 29 minutes for 2 bentos. If the food was good at least it'd be worth waiting; but it disappointed my stomach and I even more to the point where I had a severe stomachache. The shrimp was frozen and re-fried, sushi and "tempura" is super dry, veggies and chicken teriyaki tasted frozen. They also had tater tots for tempura? Thought this was Japanese cuisine.
I love this place! I ate here recently for the first time in a long while. Despite this, the owner remembered me and my order from my previous visit. She is always very kind and sociable when I talk with her. I see some other reviews addressing what they see as "longer wait times" for food. Personally I do not see this as unreasonable, considering the fact that it is only this one, aforementioned woman working and working hard by herself when I have visited.... other than the very charming robot server If you take anything away from this review: try their Sushi Burgers! They are my absolute favourite on the menu and I gladly go out of my way to come and get them.
Located on the first floor in Bay Mall, this is a small eatery with only a handful of tables and stools. The food is shall we say, truly Asian and the price is decently comparable to other Asian eateries. I will definitely come back to taste their bibimbap or jajangmyeon or the delectable rice bowls!
Very friendly staff. A bit more expensive than other sushi locations, but it was worth it! The salmon teriyaki was amazing. The digital menu was also very nice.
I have been going to Sashimi Sushi for YEARS! I am never disappointed. They are always so nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.
Stay away from this mom and pop shop if you care for value. I knew I was chancing fate when I opted for this standalone place as opposed to heading to the always reliable food court but couldn't resist the “shrimp bibimbap special” and boy was it. Although the food was pretty and service pleasant enough the portion of shrimp that accompanied my meal was criminal, when questioned as to where the rest of it was the order taker could barely keep a straight face. Im all for supporting small buisness but the food court also has alot of small businesses, spend your hard earned dollars there. Notice in the accompanying photo they chopped up the shrimp a common trick deployed to make it look like there’s more than there actually is. ** in response to the owners comment** You advertise that $6.99 bowl as a “special”, a special implies theres greater value to the item than if you just paid regular price, theres absolutely nothing special about 3 grocery store take and bake quality tempura shrimp cut into 9 morsels. Your choices of advertising is deliberately misleading and looking at other reviews for this restaurant its obvious that dishonesty extends to your whole menu not just one isolated item.
The sushi here is cheap but very tasty. It can be pretty busy especially as, at the time of writing this review, the food court is closed. There is very little in restaurant seating so you might have to sit somewhere else around the mall. It's not a big deal since theres plenty of space to sit and eat around. Service is really good; the people working there are super nice and friendly. Do be aware that they don't serve tap water but water bottles are only 50 cents. They have a big sign that says that but for some reason it just flies over people's heads.
quaint little place in the mall. Therefore there isn’t any table service. Foods okay. Tea and drinks are self-serve. A bit of a wait, portion size is small, slightly expensive compared to a reg sushi restaurant.
Yikes! “This is the first and last time we put spicy mayo”. How rude! My entire department was disappointed with your comment from our orders. You just lost several customers.
