Wasn't planning to dine here tonight after a one hour speed walk at Burnaby Lake ,we thought we deserve a treat and we did. Wow is an understatement. Chicken kaarage was really good. Crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The House Green Salad did not disappoint either. Very tasty and refreshing with its light dressing. Seafood linguine was a little too rich but still pretty good. We could've used a much hotter tea though .... overall, it was a good experience.
Staff were really friendly. This place is pretty busy so it's best to call ahead and get a reservation. Price is I bit high. If you're a guy, you might need like 1.5 dishes. Like a pasta and a small roll to feel fully full. Women will feel full with one dish imo for the most part.
I used to visit this place a lot pre pandemic and loved their foods. However, its quality is going downhill and it is quite disappointing. The only thing I like here is their service. The server was friendly and nice. Food portions are small which is understandable with rising cost and inflation. I just don't think food quality and taste worth the price. All dishes I ordered were too salty and not as yummy as before.
My friend booked a table for 5 people, we ordered a few items on menu. The salad is a great starter with the sauce that just perfect for the veggie some could get very sour with the sauce. The crispy chicken is well fried and juicy inside, best dip flavouring with mayo and add a few drops of lemon juice. We ordered two plates of rolls and aburi oshi. All of them are delicious, but it can be quite full with a lot of rice wrapped and underneath. The service is great with continuous refill of the tea without always asking for it.
This restaurant has served some of the best items in the lower mainland. They make oshi properly and it comes out amazing, my top restaurant for oshi. The soups are also full of flavour, simple yet delicious. Definitely a gem and I'm excited to go back and try more items. Also the staff is super friendly and sweet.
I honestly don’t know how they maintain a high score on their reviews. It will be the last time for us to visit here. They don’t even deserve this one star. 1 We waited very long for our order to come People who ordered later than us got their food.. 2 One of the waitress was avoiding to have any eye contacts with us when we were waving at them like crazy. 3 We found a piece of hair in our veggie udon soup. The waitress was doubting it. None of us has dyed hair so they can’t blame us to put the hair in on purpose. The waitress took away the bowl without any apologies!!!!!! Our daughter was eating it. We felt very disgusted!!!!! 4 The aburi sushi plate was a joke. Half of them were burned… half of them were soaking in water or oil. We are so disappointed again. I will save my money to go somewhere else who appreciates their customers!
Such a lovely staple in the Lougheed area. Food is fantastic. Not too busy on a weekend afternoon. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended to anybody looking for a different sushi experience.
Great little spot with a lot of parking available! The sushi wasn't my favorite but the rice and the noodles were absolutely freaking BOMB! Would love to come back here more often but it's super far from where I live. If it was more convenient to get to the spot then I would come back way more often.
I love this place. Great quality food. The aburi is great and reasonably priced. I love their omelette rice and their linguini. A place I'll keep coming back to 100%.
Have been getting takeout from Green Leaf during covid and finally had a chance to eat in! What a treat! The aburi sushi was absolutely done perfectly. The mentaiko linguine and omlette rice are good choices to have in person as it's cooked just right you can't get the rice on the ordering apps. Dietary restrictions: They ask you if you have allergies after ordering.
