Sandy Point Beach Campground

is it perfect no but friendly and my happy place. My 3rd year here and I love it

Nice place to stay close to Salmon Arm, clean and well taken care of, looks like RV&trailer paradise with full service like hot showers. Tenting area is nice however don't expect plenty of trees or privacy, sites are close to each other and exposed to rest of the park. Nice rough Sandy beach, Great access to the water for boats and toys.

The beach is so beautiful, and the water is so warm! And there are lots of families around, so lots of kids to play with. The tenting sites could use more trees, but are a good size. Although outdated, the washrooms were capped clean, and there were several of them throughout the campground. The ice cream and snack shack on the beach is excellent! Great place to get a coffee and breakfast sandwich in the morning and ice cream in the afternoon. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. Even the fellow who cleaned the bathrooms was kind on the very busy July long weekend.

Big campground. Sites are all grass but super tight. The best part is the beach at this campground. You can bring your boat right up on the beach.

Beware - this site double charged my credit card (once on the day we left and again the day after we left). I called and also wrote an email detailing the issue, and also asked they look into their billing practices to prevent this from happening again to other people. When I spoke to them they never once apologized, and were defensive (yet they said they would refund me, i.e. they indirectly acknowledged they made an error). I never heard any update on whether they attempted to refund me, and it has been 2 months. Thank goodness my credit card company refunded me through their fraud department, however the Sandy Point Beach Campground should be the ones responsible for the refund and communicating to the client. Don't pay with credit card if you go here!
