Had a chance to visit with relatives and enjoy the lake life for a week! Staff secured us a great spot and made sure we had everything we needed. Very pleasant neighbours and the price was great. Granted, being that close to the railroad tracks; I now miss being rocked to sleep some nights...lol. It’s funny how fast a person becomes accustomed to a bit of background noise. We enjoyed the welcoming community, walking the dogs daily, visiting with friends/family, time out on the lake and a bit of sight seeing as well.
Absolutely the nicest staff ever! Huge thanks to Lynn,Tim,Lisa and Rose for all their hard work keeping the resort clean and the excellent customer they provide to all their guests. Beautiful place outstanding views. This was my third summer coming to the Glen Echo Resort strongly recommend for a top notch family and pet friendly location. Extra thanks to Lisa for providing me with a complimentary toothbrush as I forgot mine at home.
First time visit and won't be my last! If you're looking for peace and calm, you'll find it here. Washrooms and showers are clean and tidy. Right on Shuswap lake where I was able to kayak. Saw others swimming, boating and jetskiing. There's a nice little store with everything you may need. Lynda, Tim, Rose, and Lisa were super welcoming and always around if you needed help with anything. I highly recommend visiting!
Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. If I requested anything Lyn Tim or Rose would make it happen. Store is perfect with a little bit of everything. Will DEFINITELY be back. Big thanks to all for making this a beautiful holiday. One of the best!
The owners are warm and courteous people. But unfortunately the site itself is not suited for tenters. The plots are small and close together, offering little privacy, especially if you're in a tent. For someone just stopping by for the night it feels like you're invading an established little village. Trains run constantly on the busy railway right next to the site which would be more manageable in a RV but in a tent the sound is overwhelmingly loud and woke me up multiple times in the night. It's a decent, rustic space, offering a very particular old-timey vibe, but not suitable for young tenters. Go find a more private tent friendly campsite instead. *edit: No critisism to the lovely staff here who were very accomodating, I just wanted to let future tenters know about what they can expect.
We stayed at this campground for 12 nights from the 21st of July2022, to the 2nd of August, 2022, Wow, what a fantastic place this is, right on the Salmon Arm of the Shuswap lake, Tim and his family were the greatest hosts, nothing was a problem, made you feel part of the family there. Cannot say enough of what a great time we had, definately will be back again and would highly recommend this campground. Yes the train runs right by, but really you hardly notice it.
We had the pleasure of spending a few days at this lovely park. Unfortunately for us, it's late in the year end of September & the weather wasn't the best for lake stuff - but we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everyone was incredibly friendly - from our first phone call to inquire, until we drove through the gate to leave. Rare to find such caring & attentive hosts! The park was quiet & well kept, the location is amazing - We had a lovely view of the lake. The only thing I could complain about is the train tracks running right through, you definitely notice the trains, which run frequently - though I wouldn't say it bothered us. Overall, we really enjoyed it & can't wait to come back when the weather is more favourable!
Beautiful GEM of a place, and not just because of the fabulous lake, and community coziness. The managers treated us like family
Had to book a site last minute and Ian was very helpful! Got this beautiful tenting site. Clean bathrooms, friendly atmosphere and good beach! Very close to the train but wasn’t too bad.
We were treated amazingly as if we stay in the camp contantly. what an awesome group of people that stays here and the administrator is such a great person to deal with. The lake is right there to enjoy. The only little thing is the train passing at night, but it also makes it special if you appreciate little things. Thank you Glen Echo Resort.
