Very nice Park, located 20 km north of Revelstoke on Revelstoke Lake. The lake is a Hydro Electric Reservoir. During our 10 day visit in July ghe lake level fluctuated up with 3 days of hot temperatures and a late freshette. There is no cellular service within 15 kms, no fuel, and no electricity. Yes, no internet which makes this Park a no screen time camping experience. Get to know your kids, your spouse, your companion. The lake is excellent for small watercraft, paddlboards, kayaking, canoeing. Hiking is limited in the Park with only one trail which is 9.5 km vertical gain moderate and shared with mountain biking. There is a boat launch with concrete pad and floating dock. Off leash dog beach and family picnic beach area with kids playground on the beach. Hot showers, wash rooms and outdoor wash station for dishes. 75 campsites, 22 non-reservable first come first serve sites. Reservations recommended.
a really nice day area. visited in summer, had a swim, played on the dock, swam 200m to a little nook. excellent detour from Revelstoke
There is no park office but there is a self serve kiosk at the entrance. If you have a reservation, one just continues to your site. A clerk does rounds in the evening to confirm your details. There is not much of a buffer between sites but distancing was good. The park was clean and well groomed. We did not use the free showers or flush toilets but they were very clean. There are also vault toilets throughout the park that were also very clean and odor free. Cell service does not exist thus no internet or any OTA TV. Satellite would be difficult in most sites because of the trees. The Camp Host does have a sat phone in case of emergencies. We paid $28.00 per night and feel we received fair value. We would return if in the area. There is dispersed camping up the road but many sites were small and down rough roads.
Beautiful area right by Lake Revelstoke, especially for camping. Definitely worth a visit.
Hands down our favorite place to travel too to camp. It was well worth our 7 hour drive!
Gem of a swimming area for a hot summer's day. While it's popular, there is lots of beach to spread out. Kids had a great time playing on the driftwood and exploring. Would love to camp here sometime and check out the area more.
Lovely discovery, clean pebbly beach, some beaches are sandier. Calm clean not too cold swimmable water, little breezy at times. Perfect for SUP.
Great family camping spot. Rocky Beach with amazing views. Showers, clean out houses and friendly staff. Large private stalls backing right onto the water.
Came here to dip our feet on a hot day, on a recommendation from a local. The water was pretty cold, not many were swimming, but it was good enough for dipping our feet. The park had beautiful views and looked well maintained. There was a kids playground close to the water. And there was a big campsite. The outhouses smelled like an air fresher. This was a first as usually they stink. Looked like a fun place to stay for a couple of days!
Great park for a picnic lunch. Kids had fun in the water. Drove through the camp site after and there is some good camping spots there.
