Was so excited to try this place based on the good reviews, but unfortunately nothing about this meal was enjoyable.nnExtremely overpriced for the tiniest portions. Ordered through uber eats and the food was ice cold when it got here. The “jerk chicken” tasted nothing like jerk chicken and was mostly just naan bread. $22 for naan bread, ice cold fries and a teaspoon of “garlic sauce” which is actually just sweet sauce.

Hands down the best French Toast in Calgary. I have tried many but they are all same and flat but this one has some special flavors and the whole combination of ingredients works really well. I really like that it is small and cosy and the stuff is always welcoming and attentive. Every time I go it never disappoints. Love this place and always recommend it.nThere’s no reservation just walk in so be ready to wait for your table but it’s absolutely worth it.

We had the jerk chicken sandwich on naan bread, and the smoked salmon crepe and both were mouthwatering and delicious.nnFull of flavour and perfect portion sizes.nnThe service was AWESOME! I believe the servers name was Jules and she was super personable and had great recommendations.nnWe’ll definitely be back!

Surprisingly, this was my first time here! Amazing service, great food, delicious coffee. My benny came out hard, as opposed to medium, as ordered, but the mistake was fixed in exactly 3 minutes. Lovely staff!

It was my first time going to Sammie Cafe after hearing many people talk about their fried hot chicken sandwich. My partner and I order one of those as well as the miso maple eggie.nnStarting with the hot chicken sandwich, we really liked the flavour because the curry spices made the fried chicken more elevated and delicious than compared to other places. The brioche bun was super soft which offered a textural contrast. For us, it wasn't spicy as we wanted it to be and we found that it didn't come with enough lettuce and tomato to help balance out the whole sandwich.nnThe miso maple eggie was actually a letdown for us because we didn't taste any miso flavour on the bacon and also felt like the sandwich came with very little lettuce and tomato. I don't think I would reorder this since I feel like it wasn't worth it for the price you're paying. Likewise, our sandwiches were more on the cold side chicken sandwich was more so lukewarm which was confusing to us as we dined in when it wasn't super busy. It made our experience not as enjoyable which was a bummer.nnOverall, I would go back to try another dish or get the hot chicken sandwich again but just keep in mind that this restaurant is a bit more pricey for breakfast/brunch dishes in comparison to the quantity you get.
